Survived Joanne's BF

We went this morning about 7:30. Tons of fabric left. My plan was to grab the Sizzix Charistmas items that were 75 % off and go. They were on number 80 at the cutting table, and the next available number was 39. Ummm, no.

However, they had TONS of flannels and fleece available, no cutting required, by the bolt in 6 yard lengths. I went crazy.

Re: Survived Joanne's BF

  • I just got back from there, got there around 3. I got about 50 yrds of flannel, not problem. They were on number 47 and I was 58. Got a number as soon as I got there and by the time I was done shopping, I only had 1person in front of me!

  • I didn't leave the house til about 7ish.  Decided to go shopping on a whim b/c I'd never done BF shopping.  The mall wasn't bad at all and it looked like the Walmart I passed had PLENTY of spaces.  Walked in to Michaels and got out fairly quickly, so much easier than going there on a Saturday.  But Joanns.  Holy crap! I got there about 930 and couldn't even get into the fabric section if I wanted to.  It was packed.  I wandered around a bit, but left - that was too much for me!

  • After hearing the horror stories of 3 hour cutting lines I was a little scared, but I braved Jo-Ann around 7:30 this morning. It was no big deal at all. I was #73 when I got there and they were on #67. Several numbers were no shows so the line took no time at all. I didn't get a lot of fabric, maybe 20 yards total. I picked up a couple other things, including a 12x12 stack of 180 for $10!

  • I didn't brave Joann's, but I did make it to Michaels.  It wasn't too bad at Michales.  I only waited about 10 mins in line to checkout and was able to use 2 coupons with my transaction.

    I might try Joann's today.

  • I went to both yesterday morning.  Michaels around 6sih and it wasnt bad at all.  I got a bunch of scrapbook paper and some storage cubes.  And there were only two people in line ahead of me at the check out.  After that I went across the stree to Joann, so about 645ish and the fabric line was crazy.  My Joann didnt seem to be using numbers.  There was just a long line the wrapped around the store.  I grabbed the couple of items I came for and got in the check out line.  And there was only one person ahead of me.  They had someone at every register so it was nice.

  • I went at 5pm, figuring it wouldn't be too bad.  I grabbed a number when we got there and they were ready to cut for me 5 minutes later when I had pretty much decided what I wanted.  The check out was a little slower, but not bad.
  • I went today (Saturday) and they still had some awesome deals on fabric.  I waited for about 40 minutes in line but I was there with my mom so I had someone to chat with.  I was excited when I got the the cash register and they told me my total... so worth it!
  • I went around 7 and it was empty!  I scored some Sizzix embossing folders wtht eh 75% then a 25% off total purchase coupon.  They came out to under $3 each.  SCORE!!!
