Where is your dream place to live in the Orlando area?

Hi -

I am looking for your help!

Please tell me your dream location (name that housing subdivision!)  to raise a family that has great schools.  I have a Kindergartener and a 4 1/2 year old and I want to see where YOU would love to live if you could choose anywhere in the Orlando area.

Thanks in advance.

  • Winter Springs is great.  Anywhere in Tuscawilla!
  • Hunters Creek area in Orlando

  • I think it depends on what is important to you and what kind of lifestyle you lead. With small children schools are important. I personally would choose Lake Mary or Winter Park. Those are more upscale areas so housing will be higher than other areas. I agree that Winter Springs and Tuskawilla is nice and would be a bit more affordable as well. Dr. Phillips is very nice but it is by the attractions so traffic is always an issue. If you like something a bit more rural then Clermont is nice. And if you like a neighborhood with a city feel, Baldwin Park is great. Do not take pp's advice - you do not want to live in Hunters Creek. Schools in Osceola county are awful and though there are some ok areas down there, the majority of that Kissimmee area has gotten really bad. This is where my husband grew up and my MIL still lives. DH couldn't get out of there fast enough. You will want to take into consideration where your jobs will be as I-4 can be a pain to drive... If you can give more info about what you are looking for and where your work is located, I can help you to narrow it down. Good luck! Oops...just realizing this is an old thread. OP, hopefully everything turned out great for you! @Our1stBaby

  • I would live in Winter Park, for sure.
  • Winter Park on a lake or HeathrowAlaqua in Lake Mary.
