Should be an interesting afternoon...
DH and I have been together for 8+ years.
Today I am meeting one entire side of his family for the first time.
FIL's siblings stopped talking to him after their dad died (GFIL). GFIL lived with FIL/DH/etc. for years and so FIL took care of the will. Apparently he gave them all MORE than he was supposed to, but they were all mad about it anyway, and stopped talking to him.
Now that he's doing really badly, they all started talking again around this time last year (that, and, their youngest brother just got out of jail after a LOT of years...).
So, today I am meeting 2 uncles, 3 aunts and a cousin for the first time ever.
I know you are all jealous.
