Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

PSA: Free MP3 downloads from DC Public Library
The DC Public Library now lets patrons use a service called "Freegal Music," which lets you download up to three MP3s a week. The MP3s apparently are yours to keep (they don't expire and disappear from your library like the e-books you can check out do) and are compatible with iTunes/iPods. You have to have a DC library card and PIN to log in.
I was browsing today, and the song selection looks pretty decent! Apparently it includes the entire Sony Music catalog, which includes artists like Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, the music from Glee, and a bunch of other mainstream/popular singers.
You can access the service by going to the DC Library --> Books, Movies, Music --> Downloadable Media --> Freegal Music.
