Re: How was your Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving was good! My family is out of town visiting a dying friend, so mine was spent with DH's family. It was fun, but it wasn't the same. I missed my family!
I have never gone shopping on Black Friday, but I was dying to get out of the house, so we went out around noon to shop. Went to Walmart and The Outlets at Anthem. The Coach Outlet was having 50% off plus an additional 30% coupon! I got 2 purses and a wallet for less than the full price of 1 purse!
Thanksgiving was really good! We ate SO MUCH food that we could hardly look at dessert haha! I made a pumpkin dump cake which was pretty good...
Black Friday shopping went well. I tried to go out at midnight but couldn't deal with the stupidity so I went home for a few hours, slept then went back out. I think I was out for about 12 hours... I got just about everything I needed. The rest (video games) i'll order online...
This was probably one of the best Thanksgivings we've had! We woke up and snuggled in bed with LO for a while, ate breakfast then went for a long bike ride. I cooked T-day dinner early in the afternoon then we went to the park. After LO went to bed I took a 2 hour bubble bath with a good book, a glass of wine and the fire burning (OMG, the new house has a 3 sided gas fireplace right next to the huge MBR tub- best.thing.ever!!!!). A relaxing lazy day + Thanksgiving food = best day ever!
It was so nice to not deal with out crazy families and have to run all over town!
That sounds like a wonderful day!
We drove up to DH's aunts house in Cottonwood. It was a nice day but it's still a little weird to not be "home" for Thanksgiving. Raedyn decided to be picky and didn't want anything but a blueberry muffin.
DH was hoping to score an Xbox/Kinect bundle at Walmart but they sold out in 10 minutes.
