PBK Chair/Ebay?

Has anyone bought the inserts for the chair from EBay? I don't think I can spend $120+ on a chair, and there was a secret sale but it doesn't seem to exist anymore... The inserts on Ebay are $50 after shipping and I can get the cover on the PBK site for $30.

What about buying on craigslist? The only thing that would worry me about not buying the PBK inserts is that they fit really snug inside the cover, so if the knock off ones weren't the exact same size they may not fit. If they get good reviews though that they fit ok, I guess go for it. My parents have bought both my kids PBK chairs for their 1st xmas gifts. My ds is crazy about the chair and the cover is still in great condition after being washed multiple times

Yeah, the cover I would order straight from them. If shipping wasn't so much the chair would be OK at $99, but there is  $10 surcharge plus $14 for shipping... Our CL usually sucks here. Most stuff is out of town.

I dont know much about PBK, do they do site to store to any Pottery Barn? Theres a PB at the Mall here, though I dont know how much youd save by having to come up here to get it if they would deliver it there....

I bought one of the oversized inserts from Ebay for $50...it is great, we love it!!!  I bought a cover too, for $25 on Ebay, brand new.  We have had the chair for almost 2 years now and no issues with it at all.  It was a great deal.

I can get the cover new from PBK with her name on it for $30 after shipping, so I will probably do that, but I really think we will get the insert from Ebay unless a see a good sale in the next week or 2.

I don't have my own kids (yet) so I am not usually entitled to an opinion but my niece and nephew have the PBK chairs.  My niece got hers when she was maybe one and is 9 now and still uses it when she sits (lays) and watches TV.  It is still in good shape as are the covers.  I think when you look at the price of the chair and divide it over that many years of use it doesn't seem so bad.

I agree and I am able to justify the cost this way, but my husband is a bit more frugal. :-/
