Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • Zoe now has 2 teeth and occasionally pulls herself up to stand. Yesterday she actually hobbled a couple steps for both me and my H. Yikes! She is so stinking adorable and is such a happy baby. She has so much energy and never stops moving when she is awake. She is such a fast crawler! Holy crap! I really can't believe how much I love her. I never knew I could love anyone that much. Does that sound weird?

BFing is still going strong. She is still not in love with solids, but she tries everything and gets really excited when we feed her them. She also loves yogurt melts. :)

She is also napping longer, which means more sleep for mama. She was awake when I got home from work today at 8 and went back to bed about 30 mins after I fed her. She hasn't done this in a couple months! I wonder how long she will sleep. Speaking of which, I am off to bed now. :)

  • Kennedy is doing great.  Still not really mobile, and I'm okay with that.  But I have to admit, I'm getting a little frustrated with the looks and comments every time someone asks if she's crawling or walking and I say no.  She's a bundle of energy though, full of smiles and laughs and I couldn't ask for more.  She loved her Thanksgiving dinner and has been eating all the leftovers.  We go for her 9 month visit this week, and we're taking her to Disney for the first time this weekend.  I'm so excited!

I have a good feeling about this pregnancy - I was really scared at first, but now I'm just exhausted and today the morning sickness has set in today.  I'll take it as long as it means a healthy baby is growing in there!

  • isaac seems to be doing much better at home... he has had a couple projectile vomiting episodes yesterday which scared the crap out of me but i think it was just from overfeeding... we are trying to limit his feedings to every 2-3 hrs for a while instead of on demand just so his stomach can heal... otherwise he seems much happier and is sleeping so well at night (6-7hrs!)... he will be 1 month old in 2 days! i cant believe it... here are some recent pics:

  • Kaley - he is sooo cute! I'm so glad everything went smoothly and you are back at home now!!!

Nothing new here.  We told our parents last weekend and will be telling a bunch of friends this weekend because we will be back home.  Really just in limbo until 12/20 for my 12 week appt.  I had a lot of cramping the past 2 days and my chest is getting less sore, but I'm still having MS so I'm hoping everything is fine.

Oh man, I forgot about that part, ouch, that was painful.  I remember trying to go for a run but it wasn't happening!

    Kaley sooooo cute!!!

Jen, teeth???  Oh my she's growing up?

    Jennifer, Yay morning sickness!!!!

All is well here, except she is so stubborn and will.not.flip.  I hate waiting.  I wish I could start to get psyched up either for labor or for c section, instead of hanging in limbo.  She kicks a lot so that's comforting, and she's definately growing!   So I'm not complaining (much) :)

  • I'm at week 13 today.  Last Monday I had my 12 week appt.  We had a sonogram and the doctor said everything looked great.  My blood work came back all good, no problems so far.  They said the baby is growing really well and everything looks on point so they are sticking with my due date of June 4th and it will not change.

H could not go to this appt because he had a last minute work thing and he was really upset.  He kind of teared up a bit when he saw the sonogram pics and that he wasn't there to see them live.  I felt terrible - he is so into this stuff and now we aren't supposed to have another sonogram until 20 weeks which is a long time to wait.

So we decided to pay $100 extra for the "sneak peak" sonogram.  I will be having it in like a week and a half or so and they will tell us the sex of the baby.  It's like a 4d sonogram - I don't even know what that means.  lol.

  • Mason started his new daycare today. We moved last weekend so he was only in the original daycare for a month before we had to pull him out.

I loved being home with him the past 5 days since I was off for Thanksgiving.

He is such a smiley guy and a wonderful baby. I truly think we were blessed with an easy baby so hopefully someday my husband will want another one. Fingers crossed, although I dont know if that will happen...

Hopefully he will roll over soon. Since he is 4 months he should be doing this soon. The doctor and nurse both asked when we were in last week and I had to say no. haha

BFing is still going great. I pump three times at work and then feed him off of me at home. I am so glad this worked out as it was not easy but finally we both got the hang of it.

Need to start putting our Christmas card together soon but we need to get some good pictures.

Other than that I love being a mom and its so funny how things that used to matter dont matter anymore. :)

  • We had quite a busy/fun weekend as my BFF got married and DS was the ring bearer! It went fairly well, there was some sand flinging and aimless wandering, but overall he was a hit! I just wanted to share 1 pic since he looked so adorable (and yes, I was in the wedding as well, my hair isn't normally that fancy).

  • Jennifer - Congrats on your pregnancy!  Whoa, that's great you were able to get pregnant again so quickly!  What a sense of relief you must feel :)  So happy for you.

Kaley - your son is ADORABLE!  Oh my gosh, what a cute baby.  Glad to hear he is doing well after surgery.  What a scary thing to go through!

As for me, I had a few good days with no morning sickness but it came back in full force at 2:30 AM last night.  I woke up with this awful urge to puke.  Thankfully I didn't but the sickness has been non-stop since last night :(  I am scheduled to get on a plane in two days and I have no idea how I am going to do it.

I have an US in 2.5 weeks and I am counting down the days.  I am anxious to know if everything is progressing normally or not.  Good news is my spotting has stopped for the last week and a half.

  • Chloe is doing great!! She slept about 8 hours last night!!! Hope this is the beginning of the end to midnight feedings. =) I can't believe she'll be 4 weeks on thursday. Feels like yesterday I was in the hospital (feeling like death lol). She is such a good baby. She has a stuffy nose right, poor baby.

We did her newborn pics and I've gotten a few teasers. I will post a few pics in a bit.

My blood pressure has been under control and they've decreased my medication. Hopefully within the next 3 weeks, I will be completely med-free!

    I guess that's it. =)

  • Triston is doing great- He is such a happy and smiley little boy. I have come to realize that I need to let him play and be a baby more and out of my arms less when we are home- so we have been using the play mat more over the last few days in hopes of helping him roll over.

He is slowly getting the hang of tummy time- he really hates being on his stomach unless he is sleeping on my chest. He constantly wants to see everythingn and know what is going on. He hardly slept during the day on Thanksgiving and then conked out super early because of all the excitement.

We are going on our 1st family vacation in approx 3 weeks. I am so excited but nervous we are going to forget something (good thing I know where the closest Walmart to the hotel is)

  • We're doing ok.  I had a pretty rough day yesterday.  I've been having fairly painful contractions (hopefully just BH), nausea, and lots of pain/pressure in my cervix.  I'm fairly certain it's just stress and false labor, but I'm super excited for my doctor's appointment tomorrow to ease my mind.

We move on Saturday!  I can't wait to have this phase behind us!

  • kaley your little guy is adorable.  So glad he is back home and doing good.

We announced our pregnancy to our friends and family on Thanksgiving.  It was great. Everyone was really excited.  As for pregnancy symptoms, I've been having a lot of indigestion and still having food aversion where things just don't sound appetizing but I'm hungry.  But not like early 1st tri.

  • Well, I have definitely noticed a lot of bloating and it is making it very hard to wear my normal clothing to work.  I ended up in small maternity jeans today, which isn't usually the best thing for the beginning of the week.  I will be happy when that subsides.  Still not having any problems with MS, but I know it is still early (although I had none with MacKenzie, so we shall see).

MacKenzie is really starting to push boundaries with me.  She is entering those terrible 2's really early.  Lots of things are becoming a constant fight so I am picking my battles with her.  She reminds me of someone I know *raises hand!*

But with all that being said, I am really excited to be able to share Christmas with her this year.  We put up our tree, decorations, and lights this weekend and she keeps going around and whispering "Wow!"  She loves it all.  She also gets the gist of unwrapping presents this year because she has already tried unwrapping a few I have worked very hard on!

  • Can you add me to the list? I haven't gone to my first appointment yet since we're still in Costa Rica, but I'm expecting my due date to be around 7/24/12.

I'd like to think that I'm a regular around here, even though I don't post a whole lot.

  • Yay!  Love reading about all the newer pregnancies and good baby news!

Tomorrow is my 28 week appt and I will find out if I passed the GTT or need to take the 3 hour re-take.  Hoping I don't have to do the re-take because Junior was driving me nuts bouncing around and the sugar rush in my body was no fun for me either.  Junior is moving quite a lot now on a regular basis.  We've started prepping the nursery (cleaning out what has served as a spare room/storage for the past 2.5 years) and I can't wait to see it all done by the end of this year.

  • imageMrsShawanaB:

  • Quick update.  I passed my GTT and Junior is measuring 30 weeks so I've been consistently 2 weeks ahead.  HB was good and strong but was hard to find since LO kept moving around.  I did warn them that he was moving a lot!
