show me your etching gifts!
DH and I are trying to get by without spending a lot on gifts this year. We decided to only buy for the children but I thought it would be a nice gesture to etch a piece of glass for the couples in our family (total of 6 couples).
I am just looking for pictures of pieces you have etched for yourself or for gifts!
Thanks for your inspiration ladies!

Most of mine are casserole pyrex dishes

I love the idea of casserole dishes. Then you don't have to worry about losing it when you take it somewhere.
I did glass beer mugs for all the guys in my family one year.
Is this your blog destinationAZ? I absolutely love the idea of etching a frame or a mirror. My SIL and BIL just bought a house and I could see them hanging a piece in their entry like that!
No, it's not mine but I love the idea of the "welcome" frame too.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity
I haven't tried it on a Pyrex dish yet but here is a blog that did it on Pyrex and it worked...

You can see the word Pyrex on the dish where she is etching... hhhhmmm....
Here is a quote from another site about it too...
The bottle of Armour Etch says it won't etch Pyrex, so I did a little checking around on the internet. I'm glad I did, because I learned two important things that were backed up by several sources. First of all, you CAN etch Pyrex (at least some Pyrex) with Armour; you just have to leave it on for 25 minutes instead of five minutes.
I guess it would be worth giving it a shot!
