If you were 70 year old Grandparents, what handmade gift would you like?
I am having the hardest time trying to find something to make for my Grandparents. I bought them each a small gift but I would really like to make them something that they would both enjoy.
I don't sew, so that's out of the question. Any ideas would be awesome.

What DO you do? That would help narrow it down. I'm not gonna give you a knitting pattern if you don't knit.

I do not knit either. I am craft challenged. Not because I can't do them, more often because I have no specific crafting skill (ie knitting, sewing).
Something that could be assembled with minimal skill would be ideal.
I'll ask Dr. L's question again...what do you do? Give us some ideas as to what craft projects you have done in the past and maybe we can suggest something to you.

A fleece tie blanket! Here's a tutorial...no sewing involved. I usually do two 1 1/2 yard pieces for an adult.

I LOVE this idea!
We are etching glass this year for gifts.
My grandparents are also around 70 and I plan to etch them either a vase (my grandma loves to have flowers in the house) or two glasses with homemade cocoa mix inside.
I'm making my grandma photo ornaments with pictures of all the grandkids and great-grandkids, and I'm making flavored syrups for my grandpa for his coffee.
For my other grandma, I'm making her a pretty stadium cushion. My cousin has four boys who are all active in sports, and she likes to go to as many of their games as she can, but the bleachers hurt her butt.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to reply. I haven't really made anything crafty, I think that is part of my problem. I am willing to try almost anything. However, I do not sew, knit, crochet or embroider and will probably not have time/patience to learn before Christmas.
My grandparents are very active and go camping frequently during the warmer months. Maybe someone has an idea that might work along those lines? I am really at a loss.
I do like the blanket and photo ideas but I gave them a photo album last year and I don't think I've seen either of them use a blanket outside of lying in bed.
I really appreciate all of your help! Sorry I'm such a pain in the butt.
I make The Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Rolls as an add on gift for my family members. You freeze them so they can eat them anytime. You could also do slice off cookies. You basically make dough, form it into a log and freeze.
