stocking stuffers for him?

I have searched the internet all morning and can't figure out what to put in my husband's stocking! So far I have: a DVD & a type of hot sauce we can never find.

The common answers are: socks, underwear, chapstick, cd, dvd, etc.

Can anyone suggest some things a little more unique?!

Re: stocking stuffers for him?

  • I've put a sudoku puzzle book, a mini utility knife and fast food gift cards in the stocking for my DH.  I've also put in his favorite chocolate covered pretzels.
  • I am always looking for good ideas too.  The things my DH has gotten excited about in the past were, scratch off lottery tickets, a Hexbug (I always try to give him some kind of geeky toy), a fast food gift card, a gift card for dinner and a movie for a date with our daughter, and a card deck of geeky problems (I bought it at Uncommon Goods, I think it was a genius deck, but they don't have it this year).

    Looking forward to other responses.

ETA:I just saw this on another board and thought I would link it here.

  • I roll up T shirts for his stocking, a couple bottles of cologne, beef jerky, hot sauce, some little fun games...
  • A couple other ideas not mentioned are new keychain, Little Tree car fresheners or any other car freshener and shammys, if he likes washing his own car.
  • my husband travels alot and likes to read on long flights so i got him a couple of (small) books that would fit right in the stocking. cologne is also a good one too.

  • This site has a bunch of good gifts for guys: http://myregistry.com/GroomsMen/

I like that they're all personalized and really affordable. Depending on what he likes you could go w/ cuff links, shot glasses, coasters, a key chain or tons of other options!

    Good luck!

  • Thanks so much, ladies!

My husband is a surfer so I decided to go with a surf themed stocking this year. I got him three different kinds of wax, repair kit and wax remover all for 20.00!

  • I always find good things at Home Depot/Lowes etc  Depends on your Dh though, obviously.

I do the home depot things and then stuff like cuff links, neckties, socks, phone chargers, stuff for his car...and some of his favorite food items.  Just depends on your Dh and what his interests are.

  • I always do snack items he likes - mixed nuts, salt and vinegar chips, etc; a toothbrush/paste; gum; chapstick; some kind of toy, video games, DVD's.

I also add a stocking cap/gloves every couple of years, plus underwear, t-shirts, socks.

  • In the past, I've given him: some mini bottles from the liquor store, beef jerky, a nice pen, wing sauce, one of these, unique candies, iTunes gift cards, some "manly" balm/lotion for his hands, an Axe detailer, and some little tools to keep in his car.

Stuffing his stocking is more fun for me than picking out his other gifts. Stockings are as big a deal for him, as evidenced by what I usually receive in mine: Christmas-themed dish towels, Christmas socks and strange shades of lipstick.

  • Travel coffee mug? Look on RedEnvelope or even Things remembered and personalize a gift....
  • I'm not going to lie.  I hated trying to fill his stocking because I usually only put in his favorite candy and a few small gadgets....boring!  This past year I ended up working for Romantic Marriages and designed for them, "The perfect stocking stuffer for men"... A sassy Christmas coupon giving him 10 Months of Romance with you!    Join the Loving Wives Club and they send you 10 months of romance kits and you get the holiday coupon for only $19.99

  • What happens the other two months?!?!?

    HAHA.....

  • LOVE IT! Thanks for all the great ideas! I actually decided to go with a "surfer" themed stocking this year - since my DH is a surfer. :)

Got him different kinds of wax [for different temps of water], a wax comb, repair kit and remover.

I'm also wanting to stick something romantic in there, lets see what we can come up with...

    Thanks again, ladies!

I've totally done this theme before and included a surf video and wetsuit shampoo.

This year he's getting peppermint bark, chocolate milk straws, a slide whistle, beer opener ring, balloon powered helicopter, new umbrella, fake snow, bubbles, and some other little things.
