Kindle Fire

Has anyone purchased one yet?   Thinking about getting one for my Mom.  I have the iPad2 and I know she won't use it the way that I do; but think that she would like the Fire better.

Thoughts?  Pros? Cons?

Re: Kindle Fire

  • I can't offer any insight personally, but you may want to ask on the Nest Book Club board, because I know that some of the ladies there have bought them.

  • A friend has one and she loves it. IMO, it depends what you are looking for.

Looking for a tablet to use as a computer? You want the Fire.

Looking for just an e-reader so you can do nothing but read books? You want the regular Kindle.

  • If you use it for reading, regular Kindle is better.
