Purple.
While packing to go north for last weekend, I laid out all of the tops that I wanted to take. And then I realized that they were all various shades of purple.
Purple replaced my pink. I'm such a damn girl.
I think purple crept in to a lot of stores and then closets over the last year.

Purple was very much the "in" color here last year. We noticed the trend when we were in Italy for Christmas '09 and it came over the following spring.
My closet is really pretty balanced, but I made an effort to make it so. A few years ago I organized my closet by color and it showed that I had a ton of brown. I made a deliberate effort to buy things that were different and it worked.
