WEBS

I just found out am going to WEBS either this coming weekend or the following weekend and I cannot WAIT!  I need to look at my favorites library on Ravelry and see what patterns to bring with me for the closeout warehouse section to see if I can get any awesome deals.

I think I want to make this:

Re: WEBS

  • Ooh, I am jealous!  I wish I lived closer!

Also, that baby sheep blanket is absolutely adorable.

  • Ha, I made the similar blanket linked at the bottom of that pattern for a Nestie friend.  But I made fewer sheep and placed them differently.

Have fun at WEBS!  I didn't know they had a closeout section.  I still intend on making a pilgrimage there one day.  Reinedumonde, you'll have to come with me so we can have our long-delayed GTG :)

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I know, I know.  Or you can let me know the next time you come to Freeport!  There's a nice yarn shop up here, too. :)

Aw cute!!  I love it :)

They have a huge closeout section.  You seriously have to go there if you have never been!  The front of the store is just huge...like the size of 6 LYS's or more.  Then the back is the same size but its just shelves and shelves of closeout yarn!  Of course the closeouts can tend to be hit or miss, but there are so many yarns on closeout that I was able to find a few that I liked last time I went.

    Thanks for the compliments!

You've just lit a new fire under my desire to go to WEBS!  I am a bargain hunter at heart and the thought of a giant clearance center is making me drool.  BUT I'm trying to be good and work down my stash first.  Slowly but surely....

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I love that sheep blanket!  I wish I knew how to knit.
Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

  • Webs is amazing!  I love that place and spend so much money there!  Remember if you buy regular priced yarn and/or books you get 20% off $60 or more.  The first time I went I only spent $50 so the sales clerk sent me out to get something for $10 that ended up being "free" with the discount.  Their Valley Yarns line is fabulous and the color selection is amazing.  Definitely go with a list of projects or you will be overwhelmed.

I live almost two hours away, but I go to Vermont to ski and vacation so I always make my family stop there to use the bathroom!  It is right off 91 and my little girls love the cool sink in the ladies room.  There is also a small toy area for kids with a couple sofas for husbands.  There are usually a bunch of husbands hanging out in the parking lot and one time I went one was playing the banjo for everyone!  Have fun!

  • When I lived in CT I used to visit.  Honestly... I never had any luck there.  I think I was too overwhelmed to make a good decision :)  I wish I could go back now that I have more specific ideas in mind.  Plus that whole town/area is just so great.
