I went last night to pay on my dental bill for Ava, Lily, and I. My dentist just happens to be BFs uncle, and his aunt runs the office. She told me that she knew that I am getting no help on medical bills so she had waived the deductible for Ava and Lily's exams and only charged me for what their insurance didn't cover.
I started tearing up in the office. I've never had someone do something so nice, and selfless for me.
So, this morning at the McDonald's drive thru (had to be at work at 3 am and really needed a fru-fru coffee)...I paid for the person behind me in line. It really felt good.
Re: Pay it forward...
That is awesome!
The other day I had a customer go to my management about the great job I was doing. It felt so good to get a compliment. It made me wonder why I don't try to do this for others like at store, restaurants, etc. That is my goal to be more aware and try and pass on good feedback to those who deserve it.
In the Scooter's Coffee drive thru line last week, my neighbor bought my coffee so I paid for the person behind me. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when this happens. I bet it made the person behind you's day.
I was at Baker's the other day and if you bought a Starbucks Holiday Drink you got one free. I was by myself, my husband was at work, so I asked if the next person who came up to order could get my "free drink". The workers were honestly flabbergasted that I was requesting this as no one else had done that the whole day.
I always try to do this, especially during the holidays. I feel like people usually only get complaints, so I try to always tell the management how nice or helpful the people were that helped me. It makes me feel good to know that the person getting the kudos probably doesn't normally get them, and I know a manager of any retail for food place is always happy to hear a comment rather than a complaint.
One of my co-workers just offered to go next door to Cafe Annies and bring me back a breakfast sandwich since I'm starving this morning. Not only is she bringing it back to me, but she is using one of her free meal deals to get it! My turn to pay it forward! We'll see what I can come up with this afternoon
I love when people do this!
That's awesome! Way to pay it forward too! It's great to hear the good stories about people doing nice things for one another -- there's been so much negative on TV lately, this was refreshing!!
