He eventually did.  We were in OSUT, so there was no graduation between Basic and AIT. She didn't like that and decided to take a trip out to visit.  He told her she was psycho and needed to go home.  She was not completely sane.

Yep. Just send him a letter. It is not out of the norm. It is quite normal for them to get daily letters.  And yes, the encouragement is very important. They break you down then build you up. It is a rough time and often letters are the only thing that get people by on the hard days.

Thanks. I know he will have access to his email account so I will start with emails and go from there. I know he is really hesitant about this training because apparently the area that he is in is not very well liked in regards to this training.
