black, brown, or cognac mid-calf/knee-high boots?
If you had to buy or keep only one pair of flat/mid-heel, mid-calf/knee-high (right below the knee) boots, would you keep a black, brown, or cognac one?
Are there any outfit combination or colors that should, in your opinion, be never combined with brown or cognac boots?
I'm looking for just one pair of boots but can't decide between the three colors. I'll also be getting new winter clothes, that I can try matching to the boots, but I for sure have some black leggings, light grey sweaters, dark grey sweaters/jackets, and a dark grey winter dress.
Re: black, brown, or cognac mid-calf/knee-high boots?
I'd probably go with black, but it's really hard to only get 1 pair!
I wouldn't ever pair the brown boots with a black outfit. I don't particularly care for brown boots with grey either, but I'm not particularly fashionable.
ETA: I think if the brown is super dark then it would probably be ok with grey, but still not with black.
black
you'll get the most use out of them .. the other colors are harder to match clothes too and CLASH w/ too many other colors. if i'm going to spend that kind of money on shoes, i want to get my money's worth out of them.
I haven't decided on any particular pair. But I'm looking for something similar to this, this, or this in terms of style and height.
Perhaps I should get a black pair to be on the safe side...
Those look like good options!
I'm sticking with black as the best option. It's the most flexible and looks better than brown on Asians (not that brown looks bad on us, but with the black hair I feel like black clothing works better).
