There is a lady on another board who has a little boy named Lucious Matthew. ALL I can think of is Lucious Malfoy from Harry Potter... I just paused for a minute wondering if she did it intentionally (it's a younger child,

). has anyone ever heard the name Lucious outside of the HP context before?
Re: Random BR name question:
I knew 2 people growing up named Lucius. One older and one younger. I like the name, but probably wouldn't go with an "M" middle name because of the potential HP reference. DH said no to it though.
The name means "light." I wonder if Rowling gave Malfoy that name because of his white blonde hair. (That only just occurred to me now.)
Yeah, I don't think I would have thought of HP necessarily without the MN.
I bet the hair and name were both well thought out by Rowling. I never really thought of it as meaning light before now - but it's pretty obvious, huh?
