Recipe ideas please

We are having our first Christmas Block party (In January we will have an Ugly Christmas sweater party...any reason to GTG. :0)

I am thinking of making meatballs and a hot dip....those usually go over well.  Even though I can't make up my mind on what dip to make....

I was thinking of making an adult drink...maybe like a punch...

So my questions are:

What kind of hot dip should I make?

What kind of a spiked punch should I make?

Ditto on the Jalapeno Popper Spread.  It's crack dip #2.

Martha Stewart has a recipe for a lovely champagne punch. It is so good. I'm pretty it's just 32 oz of guava nectar mixed with a bottle of any brut champagne (I always use the cheap stuff). So easy, so tasty.
