recs for nyc resturants for my bday

I want to spend the day in nyc for my bday, we are going to go to the christmas show hence my bday is 12/26, so how fitting, lol. I need recs for resturants in nyc, we went to tao's for our anniversary and loved the food but we want to try something new, something special for my day

For the most part, we do the touristy restaurants so I can only help from that angle.  We Bubba gumps for seafood and Carmines for Italian.  Both have fantastic food in my opinion.  We also go to Morton's steakhouse.  Fantastic food, incredibly expensive.

Wolfgangs steakhouse is unbelievable food but ridiculously expensive. Mama Mexico is the best Mexican food ive ever had. I want to try TAO too.

I don't know what kind of food you're looking for, but here's another recommendation.

Victor's Cafe.  They have amazing cuban food (and mojitos!)  It's in midtown.
