It's already Thursday, let's hear those UOs!
Re: UO Thursday
She is talented. She writes her own music (and writes music for other well known singers), she can dance but most of all - SHE CAN SING.
I just engaged in an argument about boycotting Chik-Fil-A in the comments on someone else's FB status. This should be fun.
Well very said!!!
You all know how I complain about poor DH and how he thinks we live in a barn (ie, isn't capable of closing any door, drawer, etc etc)? Well, the cats like to get into our closet and use our clothes as a way to "climb up" the closet to the highest shelf so they can hide and take a nap. And by "using our clothes" I actually mean "use DH's clothes." Nearly ALL of his nice dress shirts are ruined with cat claws because he is too d@mn lazy to close the closet door and thus, the cats get in.
Today he was very upset because he figured out the cats ruined a Thomas Pink shirt we purchased for him in Paris. Although I should be upset as well (the shirt was nearly $400), it isn't the cat's fault, IT IS HIS and I kind of feel like the cats are doing this purposely to prove a point although he clearly doesn't get it. CLOSE THE SH!T. SO EASY. JUST DO IT.
Of course, as I was getting ready to leave work I noticed that two drawers and two doors were open in our kitchen. Jesus.
OH MY GOD. THANK YOU.
"Lil" is one of my pet peeves. Gross.
I agree, she is really talented. BUT I don't get the outright obsession with her. I think there are loads of talented people but with her it is getting to be a bit much.
Also to add, I love her music and consider myself a fan.
I think a lot of it has to do with her overall attitude of love everyone no matter what. At her concert here in OKC, she mentioned she did not want people leaving the concert and say bad things to the Westboro Baptist protesters because even though she felt they were wrong, we need to love and accept and love and appreciate everyone for who they are.
I think that is a really great message. And...its a message we need right now.
I once adopted a dog (from a family member, no less) named "lil' bit" (though they regularly called her "baby girl" instead). Neither of those is a name and my roommate and I promptly re-named her.
That confirms it. We're related, McGillicuddy. Lil grosses me out.
1. I don't understand some people's fascination with Disneyworld, particularly adults who have no children.
2. On the other hand, I also don't understand some people's fascination with Las Vegas and frequent trips to sin city. Especially going several times a year? *Yawn*
3. I may be too much of a food snob, but I've been really annoyed lately at how hard it seems to be for our families to make a good home-cooked meal for the holidays. SO's family thaws in a microwave an entire frozen meal that was cooked weeks in advance for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yuck. My family relies on Stove Top Stuffing and Heinz gravy in a jar. SO didn't even know you could buy gravy in a jar. What happened to fresh food? Especially when we offer to cook and help out.
Hahaha. I knew it.
