Please critique my menu for a low key lunch/holiday get together. This is for my immediate family, approx 13 of us (teens and adults), no dietary restrictions, and very casual.
Apps- cheese tray, crab dip, spinach dip
Meal- Hot roast beef sandwiches, caesar salad, pasta salad, chips, pickles, cole slaw.....What else??????
Dessert- Christmas cookies and cake
Drinks- beer, wine, soda, coffe, tea, hot chocolate
What else can I add to the meal and to keep it easy as well?
TIA
Re: Casual Lunch
What are you serving the cheese and dips with? Veggies, crackers, bread, etc?
Instead of the pasta salad, could you do something hot, maybe mac & cheese or a potato casserole?
I was going to suggest a hot side as well- potato casserole and/or mac and cheese would be perfect.
I don't think you really need cookies and cake either. Cookies should be plenty.
I agree with the others on swapping the pasta salad and cole slaw for hot sides that suit the season better. What if you did a soup (vegetable sounds good) and mac & cheese/hash brown casserole?
Do you know that everyone eats Caesar salad or are you putting the fixings out to the side so people can make their own?
And I'm with 6 that Christmas cookies are enough on their own.

Thank you ladies! Someone offered to bring the pasta salad, that is how the cold salads came into play. Otherwise, mac and cheese is what I was planning to do. I guess I can do a warm potato casserole with it. And, everyone does like caesar salad. Soup is a good idea too. Thank you for all your helpful suggestions.
I wish I did what I did in the past, and told everyone to bring canned goods to offer to a local shelter. I did this so I could help others, and control my menu too
