What are you getting DH for Christmas?
What are you getting your DH for Christmas/Hanukkah? And what do you hope you get from him?
I'm getting mine a pair of Vibram Five Finger shoes. My mom got a pair in Feb when we went to FL and DH wants a pair, but they are kinda expensive as far as shoes go. I think they look really weird, but they're supposed to super comfy.
I told DH last Christmas that I wanted the whole Harry Potter movie collection on Blu-ray this Christmas. And have reminded him frequently since. He's really bad at gift giving so I'm really hoping that's what's in the Amazon.com box that is under the bed in our spare bedroom. (He knows I know it's there)

DH is super hard to shop for, but this year I've gotten him a really nice hooded sweatshirt he's had his eye on.
He has mentioned before that one of his favorite things growing up was a telescope. I plan on buying him one as a surprise. There is a field right next to our townhouse that he has mentioned would be great for stargazing.
Do the creep.
So far, all I've bought for DH is a soundbar for the TV. What he really wants is a new, bigger TV, but that's going to have to wait until we have an extra hundred bucks lying around (so... never). I'm thinking I'll get him a video game he's wanted for a while and some clothes, too.
On a side note, I just found his Christmas list for his parents. This is what it said: 1) 42 inch or larger LCD TV. 2) Oakley Sunglasses. 3) My wife to get a job closer to home so she doesn't have to drive 2 hours a day. Can I just aw him for a minute?! Too bad for him, only one of those might come true: the sunglasses.
I got him a vintage Zippo lighter (which I already gave him), the Lord of the Rings movies, and an antique cigar box. I intend to find him a few more things but I'm not sure what yet.
I did get us the Harry Potter DVD box set from Amazon. Hooray for Black Friday! It was like 60% off.
I have no idea what he might be getting me. He says he thinks I'll like it, which is no hint at all.

DH is pretty good about making wish lists every year. I always wish I could surprise him, but I rarely do. Well, this year is a whole another story. On Black Friday, we stood in the line outside Big Lots because to get him the crappy tablet made by some no-name but running a basic Droid. We didn't get it because they only had 10 (should have known), but I realised that I will be getting a bonus from my previous job because I left in the middle of the quarter, and the bonus is exactly what an Amazon Fire costs, so DH is getting one
He will be so happy, I cannot wait to see his face.
My Blog
DH is asking for fishing stuff this year. So I'm getting him a warm jacket, a pair of waiters and underamour. Not very interesting, but its what he wants
I got him black dress shoes and then some casual-ish brown ones. Both are realllly nice leather. They were on his wish list! He never wants much for Christmas, just one or two really nice things.
But his birthday is the 13th, and that's when I really go all out with multiple gifts:
-camelback for his biking trips
-garden cloches and slug collars for his thriving gardening hobby...things I'd never want, but he will love
-tix to the 49ers vs Steelers game (he's a Pittsburgh boy, born and raised!)
-garden hod
-a homemade pie of his choosing
I humbly asked for any of the following: new diamond studs, or necklace, a navy Fossil tote, or a spa gift certificate.
We'll see how it all goes down!
DH wanted a steering wheel for his car racing games! I also got him a ski jacket because my parents are buying us a weekend skiing in Canaan West Virginia. We are excited! I am getting an IPAD. We get a little out of control at Christmas time!
Dh is getting a big fat nothing this year.
So I hope he gets me the same thing.
We are flying out to New Zealand on the 25th, and then to LA on the 25th, so will have limited time and suitcase space for Christmas presents.
Next weekend we are going to spend the night at a fancy resort and get a couples back massage, so I think that will double as our Christmas present to each other.
