Poll: Favorite warm winter beverage?
(Hello?... Echo... Echo... Echo...)
What is your favorite warm winter beverage?
Re: Poll: Favorite warm winter beverage?
This and also tea (I like lots of different kinds of tea).
Oh, and soup! I guess that's not really a beverage but you do sort of drink it
I made this last night:
warm some chocolate almond milk (or reg. chocolate milk)
put in a mint flavored tea bag.
Let it steep about 5 mins.
Add whipped cream or marshmallows or stick a candy cane in it!
Viola! Mint chocolate warm goodness
Adult: Hot buttered rum
No booze: Apple cider
I love me some apple cider. Baby however does not agree and I haven't had any yet without vomiting.
I also enjoy anything pumpkin!!!

YUM. love those.
spiced cider
aztec hot chocolate
....yeah, that's about it for me and winter drinks
And I, in turn, LOVE those! Have you been to Coupa Cafe in Palo Alto? Their spicy Maya hot chocolate is to die for.

NO. I have not. And in January I think I need to go to the Plan store. We should make a day of it ;-)
Hot chocolate, and hot chocolate with Baileys.
Also, Trader Joe's apple cider.
Tea Time for Lulu
It's black tea (but any kind would work) with honey, lemon juice and either rum or brandy. We have a nice bottle of spiced brandy that we've been working our way through, and we've been using Meyer lemons from a friend's tree. So yummy!
We went to DH's work holiday party in SF on Saturday. They shuttled us up there so nobody had to drive, and we made a big travel mug of it to sip on the way. We were in a pretty happy mood when we arrived at the party!
I second hot toddy's but my hot toddy recipe is a measure of bourbon, covered with hot water, two tablespoons of honey, half a lemon squeezed into the drink and a sprig of rosemary.
