WWMND? RE: morals and jobs
So UCD has several jobs open in research. Yay! But one of the ones that is currently open is researching in mice. It would be biology research which is my background but I'm not really comfortable with the idea of preforming tests and experiments on mice. I think its wrong. E thinks I should still apply for it. I don't think I can do a job that my morals do agree with though.

I agree.
It's not worth it unless you're going to enjoy going to work, at least most of the time.
Thanks Ladies. This was what my gut said I just needed some affirmation. Thank you again.

Thank you. Thankfully I currently have a job so I can be kind of picky about applying for a new job. I just really want something that has to do with my degree that pays more than what I make now. My husband thinks I'm being to picky hence his thought that I should apply for this one even though it doesn't feel right.
If you're not comfortable doing the work, you shouldn't apply for the job.
But, I have to ask, as a former researcher myself, how do you study biology without animal models? I would think that you're going to have to become ok with it if you intend to do this as your career.
I know I know. I think I need to be distant from it for my first actual out of school job in research though.
