Are we still hanging out here?
Anna/Sesh- are ou guys watching Once Upon a Time?
Re: Sunday Night
I'm content to stay here until TK gets itself back together. So, maybe forever if TKIT history is any indicator.
We're watching DIY network. It's getting to that point where we're like "OH! We could build something like that!" yeah, right. We haven't even painted from where we removed wallpaper in August. We're not building built-in bookshelves any time soon.
My Fat Chick Blog
I kind of like it over here, hidden and shiit. We're the same way, Pirate. Pinterest has been really good at that too. ha Except H actually does stuff I show him (like my laundry pedestals.)
anna- watch it now! I want someone to talk to it about.

I do hate that you can't hide sigs here. Doesn't matter much when I'm on my mac, but I don't like it from my phone.
I love your laundry pedestals, Steph. We just got a new dryer, so I'm thinking it's time to start bugging H to build me some too. Got to be cheaper than the $200/each to buy them, right?
OH yeah, for sure. If you have the tools already, I think the materials were $80 total. And H had extra plywood that he used for shelves in the garage. It took awhile, but it was also the first full thing he built.
He needed a circular saw, but that's it? We spent another $20 on paint (but we'll use the rest of the gallon for the upstairs room.. eventually.)
ETA: oh, and a power drill, but I'm assuming you have one of those. We use it pretty much daily. ha

We have the tools. And actually we have paint too. H picked (and bought) paint for his office, then did one coat on the top half (there's a chair rail) and decided he hated it. So we have 3 gallons of paint (in two colors) that has no designated use.
ETA: This made more sense when I was quoting Steph.
Hey Ladies.
We had another fairly busy day. Worked on our Christmas cards, neighbours came over for awhile, we shoveled some more snow. Fixed the leaky faucet, finished all but the very last of our Christmas shopping. And cooked a delicious supper. Not a bad day.
Steph, I love your pedestals too. Might be a project for my H next summer. I couldn't bring myself to spend the extra $400, but it would nice to have them higher off the floor.

Hi!
I am not sure I like the TN. I miss the quick reply box:(.
H and I cut down a tree for our Christmas tree and I think we are going to decorate it later. We came home and watched Once Upon a Time while we ate my yummy slow cooker stew.

Reils, I'm not crazy about TN either
I do sort of like the quoting system because it carries all relevant posts but that's about it. And the smilies.

Hello!
I kind of feel like a stalker coming over here. I'm catching up on Once Upon a Time as we speak. I'm hoping it's better than last week's.
I'm also hoping I stay awake long enough to finish it. I'm exhausted, and I feel like I didn't get nearly enough accomplished this weekend. I only have 3 gifts bought. I'm plumb out of ideas this year.
Hi. I'm just at home. Had an earlyish dinner with Sam.
I love Psych. That TV show is all kinds of wonderful. But I prefer to watch shows in order so I'm missing it. I really want DVR.
I've never heard of skillet potatoes, what are they?
I both under and over cooked dressing last month, if that makes you feel better. And I'm generally not a terrible cook.

I like the quoting thing too but I don't like how you can the thread views. It's so creepy.
How is everyone coming with their Christmas shopping? I am usually done in early November and have everything wrapped but we aren't going to get to go shopping until the 18th. I wish we were done already.
We only have my FIL left, but we had almost no one to buy for this year.
We had canvases made of a wedding photo from our wedding, and one from my brother's for my parents.
My brother & his wife and my H & I decided to go out to supper together instead of exchanging gifts. They just got married, and we won't see them at Christmas this year, so we did that in November instead.
My H's brother & his fiance will be receiving new fleece pajamas, a Pyrex kitchen set (bowls & lids, and cooking pans & lids), and a new frying pan, and an Engaged Christmas ornament (engaged in Sept, getting married in Oct).
MIL is getting new pajamas, new juice glasses that she wanted, and new work socks as requested.
FIL is getting new pajamas and.... who knows. H is trying to come with something for him. We're doing Christmas with them on Saturday, so he better think quick.
My god-daughter is getting a recordable storybook, and an addition to her savings account as she does on every "event". She's four, and awesome.

Oh that is better! I am going to pretend that this is true and that everyone refreshes a lot.
Haha, I usually am anyway, but this year I have to be. We're just ridiculously busy this month. Aside from work, between H & I we have... 6 meetings to go to, we are hosting "Christmas" with his parents & grandma this coming weekend, the next weekend I'll have 10 girls (12-14 yo) sleeping over/Christmas partying at our home Friday night, H has a high school dance to supervise that night, and we're leaving for Christmas in Phoenix on the 22nd. Busy month!
