Looking for Shutter's

If anyone is getting rid of any, or knows anyone getting rid of any please PM me.  I'm looking for wooden shutter's for a craft project and have not beeng having any luck.

I've checked Craigslist, Home Depot, and Menards...Home Depot and Menards only sell plastic (and it looks cheap), and Craigslist seems to be a hard place to find anything.

So at this point I'm desperate.

TIA!

Re: Looking for Shutter's

  • Have you tried the Habitat for Humanity ReStore? It's a little hit-or-miss depending on what they have, but I'm sure they get shutters in sometimes.  And it'll be dirt cheap! You could call ahead and check too.

  • It is on my list...they're across the parking lot from my office so I plan on stopping over tomorrow since their phone says they aren't open Monday's.  Thanks for the tip.

I may also start looking at antique stores as well.

  • Possibly the Builders Material Outlet in Eagan - but very much like the re-store, it is hit or miss.  I'd call to ask before you make the trip.
  • If you want to look at a building materials salvage place - try City Salvage or Art+Architecture in Minneapolis. I've found more at Art+Architecture and I think their prices are a little better.
