NER: Thanks, makeup helpers!

I went to Ulta (not Sephora, I know, but my mom wanted me to pick up some gift set they have for $25 for my cousin for Christmas), and got a Bare Minerals starter kit. I really like the way it looks!  My only small beef with it is that my face feels dry.  I would have to not shower for like a week for my skin to actually build up any normal human skin oil, so it's really more my issue.  I'm hoping I can just put on more moisturizer beforehand tomorrow, because it feels a little dry when I wrinkle my nose or forehead.

Anyway, I really want to make it work because it's the perfect coverage.

  • BM sells a special moisturizer/pre-application lube type thing that you might want to try if your regular moisturizer does not cut it.

I use BM and really like it.

  • Good to know!  I will look for it.  Thanks!

  • I'm glad you like it! Maybe you need a heavier moisturizer during the fall/winter? I have really oily skin, and I still need to change my moisturizer when the air gets drier.

  • I use it too!

You might have applied it a bit thick - which is really easy to do at first I think, since its such a different type of product than what is typical out there. I started applying a little bit all over and then looked away from the mirror and then looked back and somehow that helped to make me look at me whole face to see if it looked better as a whole and not just "is that freckle 100% covered yet".

    GL! I love it!

  • Hmm, could be.  My freckles are still visible, so hopefully it's the moisturizer issue.  Maybe I did put on too much though!
