decorating help

I need some decorating help.  We have a 2 story entry, with 3 windows that open over it.  Its become clear to us recently that you can see to the upstairs quicte easily at night so we want to do something to cover them, but still allow some light through. I'm thinking some type of curtain or something.  Was wondering if anyone else had some ideas we could do....

thanks

After 2 years of IF, and moving forward with adoption we were thrilled to discover we were pregnant with no intervention in 2009. Miss Molly joined our family in February 2010 and we could not be more in love with our little angel. Lilypie Second Birthday tickers blog www.grumpysnickles.com

Re: decorating help

  • we pretty much have the same set up and have been thinking of ideas and havenkt come up with anything.
  • we have the blinds that are soft fabric with sheers on either side (not sure of the name) in our higher den windows and those work great.  You can open them during the day and they still let in plenty of light with an obstructed view.  You could also just do gathered sheers but those might not provide as much privacy during the evening as you may want.

  • You could apply an opaque film to them.

I did this to the window in our bathroom.  It makes the window look frosted but lots of light still gets in Smile  You can buy this stuff at Home Depot in the blinds aisle.

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
