    4 weeks left of 2011!

Are you getting closer to any of your goals? I guess so. I'm still running, although this cold weather and wind isn't helping. I don't have cold weather running gear yet (though I think it's coming at Christmas!)

Did you stick to your plan last week? Kind of. I ran twice and did Pilates once, so I missed one of each.

AWs from last week? None, really.

Problems or struggles? I finally decided to start monitoring my caloric intake so the scale will move and I can re-set myself. It's been pretty eye-opening, and a little empowering, too.

H&F Plan for this week? Run or do my cardio video thrice, and do Pilates twice. And continue to monitor.

What's your food weakness? How often do you have this food? Cheese. Every day. This has to stop.

Do you have a "worst H&F experience" story? Hmm. I'll have to get back to you on this one....

  • Are you getting closer to any of your goals? Yes! I'm on track so far on my Half Marathon training plan. I haven't been counting calories, but I haven't been overeating at all.

Did you stick to your plan last week? For the most part! I didn't do the workouts on the days I had planned, but I did all of the workouts except legs strength training.

AWs from last week? Just that I got most of my workouts in.

Problems or struggles? See my answer to "worst H&F experience" lol

H&F Plan for this week? M: 3 mile run. T: Arms/shoulders strength training. W: Speedwork. Th: Legs/back strength training. F: Crosstrain. Sa: 6 mile run. Su: Rest.

What's your food weakness? How often do you have this food? Mac and cheese. I just can't stop eating it. That's why I try not to make it too often.

Do you have a "worst H&F experience" story? This is TMI and gross. So I had a 9 mile run yesterday and it was horrible. I forgot my headphones which sucked. And I forgot my asthma inhaler which made me a little nervous since the cold doesn't get along with my asthma. I planned an out and back, so 4.5 miles then turn around and go back. Right when I got to the halfway point, all of a sudden I had to go to the bathroom so bad. And when I say bathroom, I don't mean #1. The problem was I was 4.5 miles away from my car and 2 miles away from the closest gas station/store with a bathroom. That was the longest 2 miles of my life! I had to walk most of it because running just made things worse. Luckily I made it to the bathroom though. But then my asthma started acting up since I went from the cold outside, to the warm inside, and then back out into the cold. And my stomach muscles kept cramping. So I pretty much walked the entire second half of the run. From now on, I am going to plan my long runs closer to bathrooms lol.

  • Are you getting closer to any of your goals? yes. I just have 4 more workouts left to do in this stage of NROLFW. At my current rate of 2 lifting workouts/week, I'm on track to finish the stage before I leave for Christmas vacation.

Did you stick to your plan last week? mostly! I skipped 1 swim, but did my other 3 workouts.

AWs from last week? nothing major. I maintained the weights I was lifting or went up a little on a few exercises.

Problems or struggles? My muscles have been sore for longer than usual after my past few workouts. I need to stretch better and learn how to foam roll.

H&F Plan for this week? lift twice, swim twice, take a pole dance class

What's your food weakness? How often do you have this food? chocolate. not too often anymore. I can go weeks without having it now. I've turned into a snob- I want good chocolate, not just any cheap chocolate. Or oreos. I looooooove oreos. Big Smile

Do you have a "worst H&F experience" story? A few weeks ago I was doing bench presses with dumbbells and decided to try the next weight up. I'd done it before, but my arms were more tired than I thought. I managed to barely lift them up...then couldn't hold them there and smacked myself on the temple with a 30lb dumbbell. Luckily the weight room was empty (Satuday afternoon during football season!), so I don't think anybody saw. My head was tender for the next 2 weeks, but no obvious bruise.

  • I slept in this morning and therefore, did not make it to bootcamp.

    I am going this evening.

  • 4 weeks left of 2011!  Holy shiit, I'm screwed. Are you getting closer to any of your goals?  No, instead I'm going backwards.  Apparently motivation & willpower have left the building.  Did you stick to your plan last week?  I actually didn't do too bad last week--I stuck to my points but splurged at a friend's house on Saturday.  And then brought home leftover dessert, not smart.AWs from last week?  None at all.  Problems or struggles?  Umm....I still love food, and this weather makes me want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and food.  Some warm, yummy, carb-filled comfort food.H&F Plan for this week?  WRITE DOWN WHAT I EAT!  I have sucked at this lately.  And stick to my points. What's your food weakness? How often do you have this food?  Pretty much all food, especially carbs!!  I especially love ice cream though, and I'm not one of those "just have a bite to satisfy the craving and move on" kind of girls so I can't keep it in the house or I will eat it.  No self control!Do you have a "worst H&F experience" story?  I'm sure I do, but I can't think of one right now.  Kaylee--your story literally made me LOL, thanks for sharing! • Are you getting closer to any of your goals? I finished up Stage 1 last week, currently in my rest week and start Stage 2 Thursday. I should be able to complete it by the end of the year. I haven't run at all, which sucks big time.

Did you stick to your plan last week? I got my lifting workouts in, but I didn't run. I also ate like crazy and had a lot of beer this weekend, but I had planned on that.

AWs from last week? Eh, same old stuff.

Problems or struggles? Well, now I have to move by the end of the year, so that's going to take up some more time. And I'm working 70 hours next week. So, time continues to be a struggle.

H&F Plan for this week? Start Stage 2 on Thursday. Maybe go running tonight.

What's your food weakness? How often do you have this food? French fries. Hmm, every other week or so.

Do you have a "worst H&F experience" story? I can't think of anything, but Kaylee's story reminds me of this blog post. The rest of this blog is great, too.
