Our weekend was pretty good...
Saturday morning I got up early and went to a photography class (on getting the most out of DSLR cameras) - it was a great refresher and was hands-on, and happily cheap since I got it from a Living Social deal.
In the afternoon I had to do stuff for our Home Owner's Association (I got voted onto their Board of Directors, which was unplanned).
Then we went to December nights, which is a huge festival at Balboa Park, where all the museums were open late and for free, and had tons of food. Only
thing was that there were about 150,000 people in attendance, so there were lines for EVERYTHING! An hour line for the shuttle from a parking lot. 20 minute line to get into the museum. 15 minute lines inside the museum to see exhibits, etc.
Yesterday I made 18 pans of enchiladas with my mom; I froze all but one of my 9 pans and will have 8 easy go-to dinners for the next few months

How were your weekends?
Re: How was the weekend? What'd you do?
Friday evening DH and I decided to stay home and relax.
Saturday during the day I was going to run errands, but with it being rainy outside I decided to stay home. I ended up watching reruns of America's Next Top Model of the current season which I hadn't seen so that was good. That night DH and I ordered pizza and had a game night. It was fun!
Sunday I decided to do errands while DH worked. I decided to check out Kohls because I had Kohls cash and a 20% off coupon they sent in the mail and got some nice stuff for cheap. I got DH two really nice sweaters and myself two pairs of dress capris off the rack for super cheap (less than $5 a pair!). I was pretty proud walking out of there spending only $35 and saving $150. I also did the grocery shopping and a couple of other mundane things.
So that was our weekend.
Kenna, I'm going to need you to send one of those frozen enchiladas my way yummm...your freezer probably looks so happy right now lol.
Our weekend was pretty good. We're moving this coming Saturday so Friday night we just hung around the apartment and packed. Saturday we packed like crazy and then went over to our friends house for a 'double-feature movie date night'. We watched '30 Minutes or Less' and 'Our Idiot Brother'. I didn't really like either of them, but I'd say '30 minutes or Less' was better out of the two. My girlfriend and I didn't like them, but my husband and her boyfriend thought they were amazing, so maybe they're more 'guy' type movies.
On Sunday we did a little bit of shopping, got some Christmas presents for people, a new tablecloth (grr I want a new modern table so bad), and I got a new book. Then we went to sign our lease, and then went home to watch the Skins lose which is pretty much to be expected these days.
The next week or so will be super busy with packing, moving, and settling into our new place so it was nice to have a semi-chill weekend.
Kenna, 18 pans?! WOW. That's AWESOME and I'm way jealous.
My weekend went way too fast.
Saturday I met a friend for lunch and then went to a local fruit farm to stock up on cider and applesauce, and stopped by Dicks' Sporting Goods to use a gift card I had. I ended up getting 6 pairs of socks and 3 gu things to eat when running. I was bummed I couldn't find any of the types of running clothes I NEED. But I guess you always need socks. In the evening the hubby and I ordered Thai food and chilled out.
Sunday morning I went a volunteered at a local half marathon for about 3 hours. I was assigned to the finish line so I got to give the runners water bottles and cut their timing chips off of their shoes. It was nice to "give back" to the running community, though my thighs and knees are sore from bending down to cut the chips off. Yesterday afternoon I was invited to a friends place for her gingerbread house making party. Some of the women there were super advanced and made some crazy things, but I literally haven't made a gingerbread house in years so I was happy with how it turned out. It was also nice because our friend lives in the neighborhood we're building a house in, and all the ladies invited were from the neighborhood so it was nice to meet our future neighbors.

Cute gingerbread house! I have been wanting to make one the past couple of years and might actually do it this year

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermDH was supposed to go out of town on a hunting trip but was sick so stayed home. He had a training class friday and dropped by a Toyota dealership on the way home. We have been looking at Tundras and he had one spec'ed out. Well they had one very close on the lot so he bought it. I went with a friend to her company Christmas party Friday night. Lots of good food, good music and fun.
Saturday was our dance group Christmas potluck party. Not many there I knew to dance with and I went alone. DH overdid it Saturday on chores getting the old truck ready for sale and the new one loaded with tools, etc. I bought ingredients for massive cookie baking - I make 12 different kinds each year.
Sunday it rained. I made 2 batches of cookies that need to freeze before you slice and bake them. The friend who took me to her work party had DH and me over for an impromptu cookout Sunday evening with her DH (he was supposed to go hunting and was ill too.)
This week will be hectic getting cookies baked and getting ready for a couples dessert and cookie swap party at our house on Friday night.
The doctor put me on modified bed rest and pulled me out of work:( so Saturday I watched Crazy Stupid Love and rented Bridesmaids. Around 10:00pm I cleaned our kitchen (nesting a bit) and over did it:( and decided to lay low again. On Sunday DH cleaned out our cars to be able to put the carseat in and brought me piles of stuff that needed to be gone through. We are now pile less in our house!!!
My Saturday and Sunday fall on Thursday and Fridays now so Thursday I went and cleaned out my closet and DH's (he's down about 40 lbs) and took the stuff to a place that buys and sells used clothing, they give you trade money for it so I can 'replace' the stuff they bought which was nice so I got hubby some new pants that fit him, and a sweet sweater for me!
Friday I went grocery shopping...and spent way to much on food...never shop hungry lol also stopped off at walmart and got a few Christmas gifts. when mike got home we went out to dinner, made it the brewery in time for Friday happy hour and got half priced appetizers there hummus is so good, we checked out the outlet mall that the brewery is next to. and got a few more Christmas gifts. and some gloves for me and my always cold hands which have become pretty nice to have at 7:30 am when it's only 34 degrees outside! oooh
