Poll: What's on and done on your holiday "to do" list?

I'm listing out what I need to do this week and got a little disheartened until I realized how much I had completed.  I've done the baking for the neighbors and almost all the Christmas shopping and shipped boxes to 2 out of the 5 sites.  BUT, I still have to get out the Christmas cards (including labels, inserts, etc.), wrap a slew of presents and pack and ship at least 3-4 more boxes and pick up a present for my parents to give DD.

What about you?  What have you accomplished and what is still left to do?

  • I need to finish cards, make more goodies and finish my present shopping. I feel like I still have so much to do.

  • I still need to buy presents. I'm soo behind this year. This crappy road weather has been ruining my shopping plans. I'm hoping to go this week and get everything. Ugh! Since we're flying in to Texas on Christmas Eve I need to make sure all the presents I'm planning on taking to my parents, cousins, aunts and uncles are going to fit in my stinkin suitcase and not exceed the 50 lbs mark. I REFUSE to pay whatever Frontier charges for anything over 50 lbs. Then i need to box up and ship stuff to the in-laws since we wont be spending the holidays with them.

We at least have our Christmas cards but still need to write them out and send out.

I feel so behind!!! I think the only thing we got done on time is put the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving so at least it looks festive in the house. :)

  • This will make you feel better:

I have to ship all of my gifts to other states, and I haven't even begun shopping yet.  And I don't know what to get any of the people on my list!

  • Um...I still need to get gifts for everyone that isn't my daughters.

We won't have cards until I get pictures - our session is Saturday.

I usually do a theme-y gift basket for people outside of family and I haven't even thought about that yet.

But....the tree is up and almost all the presents for the girls are wrapped and under the tree.

  • I have a good chunk of the boys' presents purchased - mostly for DS3 & DS4, but a little for DS2.  I need to find an affordable, cool, leather jacket for DS1 since that is his big gift this year.

I have not decorated, found a tree (or had MIL deliver one Stick out tongue), or even started cards.  I decided that I wasn't going to stress about it until after the big party was done on Saturday, so now it's time.

  • I just got Vaughn, Gia, and BIL taken care of, gift-wise.

I think we have Cooper covered, and Potter pie.

BUT  I still have Todd,  Dr Sissy (ugh,) not-quite SIL, Nephew Dylan, and my parents to figure out.

I need to print labels for Christmas Cards so I can stick them on and get the first wave out as soon as they arrive from Mixbook.

I think my wallet just let out a cry of surrender as I listed all of that.  Double ugh.

  • Done: tree is up and decorations are out To do: buy a few presents, have a baby
  • Done: decorating, shopping for mom, shopping for husband (except stocking stuffers and I'm waiting for some stuff to come in the mail), shopping for sister's birthday, which is the day after Christmas, even though I don't even remember the last time she got me a birthday present.

To do: Shop for sister for Christmas (just need to order a gift card since cash seems to be the only thing she likes), figure out something for in-laws, get white elephant gift, make cookies and treats for co-worker gifts, cook a few things for Christmas dinner at my mom's. And maybe I'll cook again for the in-laws for Christmas Eve since they liked the Thanksgiving meal I cooked.

  • Done: not much

To do: Finish knit t-shirt for nephew.  Crochet blanket for SIL.  Buy all presents (still deciding on a few).  Bake (fudge and chex mix).  Wrap.  Put up Christmas Tree.

  • Done: put up Christmas tree and decorations except the lights on the house, ordered and received fabric to make all gifts, ordered and received DH's gift, made and mailed Christmas cards.

Left to do: move DH's very large gift from the garage to the basement and wrap, sew all other 12 gifts, order two Lego sets, and get more stuff for DH's stocking.

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
