How was your weekend?

I'm exhausted today.  For some reason I couldn't fall asleep Saturday night and think I might have gotten around an hour total here and there.  Then on Sunday I played in a volleyball tournament all day and somehow made it through.

I passed out at 10:30pm last night and got a full eight hours of sleep on a school night for the first time in probably decades.  But I'm still so sleepy today.

On Saturday night we went to a great all-you-can-eat sushi place for my mom's birthday.  It's all made-to-order and they have a million sushi options, as well as stuff like noodle soup, some Korean dishes, desserts, etc. and it's only $21!  We got our money's worth, let's just say that!
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: How was your weekend?

  • I went into "labor" on thursday morning with contractions every 40 mins went all night and all day friday and got as close as 15 mins. then all of a sudden stopped. Apparently this little princess changed her mind and isn't ready to make her way into the world yet.

DH decided that he didnt feel comfortable with me returning to work so I am officially on maternity leave now and a little bit bored. I just wish she would come already!

Please send labor dust! I want this little girl in my arms now!!!

Is your ticker correct?  If so, I'm hoping she'll continue to cook a little while longer.  36/37 is awful early!  Take it easy mama.  Be patient.  Your Christmas gift will be here soon!
  • I had a good weekend.  Saturday Q got us up and we all went to Denny's for breakfast nice and early.  After nap, we went to see Santa (I'll post another thread for those who haven't seen me on FB)

Sunday a friend and I went to see Breaking Dawn (the movies just keep getting better!) and last night I started untangling Christmas lights.

Yes ticker is correct. I will be 37 weeks on Wednesday. She is due the 28th.  I hope she cooks a while longer too but at the same time I am selfish and I want her now ya know? Trying to take it easy but relaxing is one of my biggest struggles. I can always find something that needs to get done.

Really?  I keep hearing that this one was hilariously awful.

  • It was exhausting. Lots of cooking, baking, going to cookie exchanges, cleaning house, etc. It is going to be like that every weekend for the month of December.

  • Pretty good weekend. We got home on Saturday from our vacation to the eastern Sierra and Death Valley. The trip was amazing. So many cool and beautiful things. I'm sad to be back. I'm still on vacation and furlough this week though, so at least I don't have to be at work.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

That's how I feel about the 1st one.  This one really brought the book to life for me.

This was my least favorite book, and yet probably my favorite movie (I love seeing the movies but they are all pretty awful). I think they did much better with this one.

  • Mine was okay. I have been having trouble with my hip/back lately and it has been causing me to sleep badly. But we put up the tree and decorated for Xmas. And I made soup with TG leftovers.
  • Aww, Hannah, sorry you're still not feeling better.  I've had recurring back problems for the last year and a half or so and it sucks.

  • Yeah, initially I thought it was from being sick, but now I think it is actually a return of a problem I've had off and on since I was little. It's actually my hip but lately it radiates across my back and down my leg and even into parts of my arm. My mom is setting up an appt with her chiropractor for me for when we'll be in here area for Xmas. My hip was messed up when I was delivered as a baby and that's why I've had issues with it all my life.
