Ideas needed for crazy hat day at daycare
N does not have any "crazy hats". So, am i suppose to go out and buy him something for this? Is there something I can quickly make? if he doesn't participate and wear a crazy hat that day will he feel left out or will he not notice at all.
Re: Ideas needed for crazy hat day at daycare
do you have a hat of your own?? you could cut out stuff from paper or heavy cardboard and staple it on, even deck out a baseball cap with some crafty stuff. or pin something to it???
how about a santa hat
We used to do this at summer day camp and my mom always made something with a cheapo baseball cap.
How about attaching a small stuffed cat (or a magazine picture of a cat) to a cheapo hat and doing the whole Cat in the Hat thing?
At 2.5, my daughter would have freaked if she didn't have one and my son would not have cared less -- so you know better than we do how much effort is required.
That said, I am not big into things like this, so I would put some stickers on whatever hat he has that you don't mind trashing, and leave it at that.
Good luck! Things like this make me crazy; the last thing I need is busy-work.
