DD bit her tongue badly yesterday. I am assuming there is nothing I can do right?
The problem is, she barely ate dinner, and now she won't drink anything.
Also, we only slept between 11:30 and 1:30. She soothes herself by sucking on her fingers, which hurt too much for her to do, so instead, she cried hysterically most of the night.
In some ways I think it would be evil to take her to daycare in this state, but at the same time the distraction of the other kids might help keep her from freaking out so much. Also, I have a ton of work that ws supposed to be finished yesterda, and I just got my annual review where one of my reviewers said my home life had caused problems meeting deadlines.
Right now she is walking around like a zombie, but not crying.
I am planning on calling the doctors office to check in, but they don't open for two more hours.
I think I am going to drop her off when daycare opens in an hour and see how long it takes before they call me to get her.
WWND?
Re: WWND? Re daycare/injury
I would take her, but be prepared you might need to pick her up.
Poor thing!
Wrangling babies since 2010
I'd probably toke her up on Tylenol or Motrin, plus baby Orajel can numb pretty much anything up (once I licked a drop off my finger and my tongue went numb).
Also see if daycare can let her drink very cold beverages while she's there, might help keep the pain alleviated.
Tongues do heal very fast, but if you want put a call in to the ped to make sure.
