Pediatrician rec in Lakeland?
I wanted to know if anyone had a recommendation for a good pediatrician in Lakeland. I took Nic to a dr at Watson Clinic and I was not very happy. Now he is a little sick and I'm looking for a better pediatrician for the new baby. Thanks a bunch!

Do you live in Lakeland? I do too! Where abouts are you ?? I don't have too many recs on Pedi's in Lakeland. Let me think. Our DS goes to Dr. Schick. She is on So. Florida Avenue, just past downtown. He has been with her since birth. The way we found her was that he was our foster son. So, he is on Medicaid. She is very nice, and apparently good, but I REALLY like her ARNP Kelly. I usually Isaiah to Kelly. We plan on putting the new baby to her too, but will have to initially see Dr. Schick before we can start seeing Kelly, (atleast) for the initial appt). One of my husband's coworkers wife (sorry that is a mouthful) is a labor and delivery doc at LRMC. She said that Kelly is wonderful and does hospital work as well.
I considered taking the baby to a different doc than Isaiah, but I asked my friend for a rec on hers, and she said that she does not really care for the doc, and sees the ARNP as well. The doc is Rachel Ray. A friend of mine has her kids with Dr. Leviten and has had only good things to say.
Who is your OB? Are you delivering at LRMC? Anyways, the friend who works at labor and delivery recommended I talk to my OB. She said he can't give me a recommendation on a pedi, but he could tell me who he takes his kids too. So, I am going to do that at my next appt. But, at this point in time, I am sticking with Dr. Schick and seeing the ARNP :-)
