This doesn't even make sense. R's hate minorities, so why do they want to prevent them from being aborted?

You see, their ultimate plan is to ensure that more black babies are born to poor black folk. Empirical research has shown that black women with fewer offspring are more likely to have higher educational attainment thereby providing them with a high economic status. If you create an environment whereby you have more offspring, you lessen the chances for socio-economic improvement. Therefore, you increase more poverty-related and society ills, thereby sustaining black on black crime and creating a populous of Micky D's workers.

In other words, it's the Man's Plan to keep Black Folk Down.

    HTH.

Am I the only one who read Pamela's post as being kinda TIC?  Like..."no actually, this this the ridiculously pointless and offensive goal of this bill"?

Try reading her post as if say...HAB posted it.  Somebody good and snarky.  See what I'm getting at?

my point being that I don't think Pamela actually thinks that white woman trying to abort their mixed race bastard babies is a) common or b) something that should actually be legislated.  But the intent of this assbackwards bill could be interpreted as such.  Which is assinine. (the bill, not pamela)

But hey, I'm apparently a big giver of benefit of the doubt.

In other news - everybody else in this thread is cracking me up.  the NT and CSV tests in particular.

Until she clarifies, I'm inclined to think differently.

  • This doesn't make any sense. Do you have to give a reason when you have an abortion? How could they possibly know if you are aborting b/c of race or sex instead of just not wanting any type of baby?

Plus, much to my MIL's dismay, the black people might MOVE INTO YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!! if they aren't kept poor.

No seriously, she told my SIL that she shouldn't look in neighborhoods with mixed races and that when SIL was putting an offer on a specific house in a wealthy suburb that the residents would want her over the black lady who was putting in an offer.  Indifferent

ETA: I was all, "well, sh*t.  I'm never going to be able to sell my house because Tony Dungy owns a house in the neighborhood right next to us."  Unfortunately, my sarcasm was lost on her.

IDK.  This is why I no longer identify as a Republican and consider myself an Independent.  It's so f*cking stupid.  On every level.  I don't give a sh*t about abortions or anything but the economy and neither should Congress.  Jesus Christ, it's not hard.

I want to have a baby with you - but first I have to ask what race you hail from?

I'm pretty sure you mean "heil."  Won't someone think of the White babies?

I must have read that wrong.........Tell me this isn't a proposal in order to prevent minorities from having abortions.

I actually would see it more as preventing married white woman who gets knocked up by darker skinned man who is not her husband from getting an abortion to get rid of the evidence.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions.

What if it was an unmarried white woman who was in a relationship and cheating on her white partner?

What if it was a black woman and a white man?

What if it was a couple in a consensual interracial relationship who, like many, many people, simply decided they were not ready and willing to deal with a pregnancy? Would these people be looked it with suspicion simply because of their race and their desire to obtain an abortion? If the woman goes to the clinic by herself will she be asked the race of the father?

And finally, how is it any of the federal government's business that any of these scenarios occur or what someone's decision is in these matters?

Oh dear lord.  I didn't say I agreed with it in any shape or form or that it was even plausible to know why a woman was choosing the abortion unless she outright said "I want to abort my baby because it's a black boy.  I wanted a white girl so I want a do over." I just didn't understand the jumping to it's trying to keep black women specifically from having abortions.  It says it to prevent abortions that are chosen based on race - how many black women are trying to abort their black baby because it's black?

You obviously don't watch OLTL.  Destiny (who is black ) is pregnant with Matthew's baby (Matthew is white).  When Destiny found out she was pregnant Matthew was in a coma.  She wanted to have an abortion because she is 17, but Matthew's whitey white mother basically guilted and blackmailed her into having the baby, even though Destiny's brother and mother/grandmother (she thought her grandmom was her mom, but that's a whole other story) supported her decision.   and now matthew is out of his coma.  to be continued...

Pamela, if you want to be given the benefit of the doubt then perhaps you should attempt not to make so many sincere wackjob extremist right-wing comments ALL THE DAMN TIME, thereby making an assumption that this was another one extreamly plausible.

Heather and Brad just found out they're probably* having a white baby.  They can hardly wait until next week when they get to have their white-baby abortion.

    * There is a chance the baby is black because Heather is a hoor.  Therefore, they are waiting until after the Negro Testing results come back to decide whether to abort.

Now why do you have to go bringing me into this and calling me a hor?

  • As an R/Conservative I have to say this law is one of the stupidest things I've heard of.

    A) There are way more important things to deal with, like the economy

    B) How the heck do you decide if someone is having an abortion due to race/sex?

    C) It's the Economy Stupid!
