How old was your little one when you first took them to the dentist?
Do you have one you recommend?
Re: dentist for babies?
DS went with DH for his visit at 18 months. (I went too to watch DS). That way DS could get used to the idea of going-see Daddy's opening his mouth too-, and then all they did was count DS's teeth.
He goes back at 2 yrs. We just take DS to our family dentist.
We take our kids at 1 year and then again at 2 years. The first time we just took them in during one of our appointments and the dentist just kind of poked his finger in their mouth. That early appointment is more about education of parents as far as cleaning teeth, when to get rid of the binky, etc.
At 2 was the first time he sat in the chair had an examination and a cleaning.
