Good morning!

Good morning!

Only 2 days until I fly back to the States with DD, so I'm starting to get anxious. We've both got colds, too, so I feel like crap on top of everything. What do you all have going on the rest of the week?

QOTD: What's your favorite Christmas Carol?

Mine is "O Holy Night," or, if we're going for even more traditional hymns, then "Angels we Have Heard on High"

Re: Good morning!

  • This is my next-to-last week of work.  FI and I are flying back to the states on the 19th.   The weather in Scotland is CRAZY, and it's definitely making work...um...interesting:-)  Kind of like a bunch of kids who get obsessed with snow storms the week before Christmas break, and can't get any work done!

Favorite Chrismas Carol?   I love "O Holy Night" as well, but I also really like Barenaked Ladies' version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."    I am loading my iPod up with Christmas music as we speak:-)

  • We?re off to the Tagesmutti in a bit for DD?s "Eingew?hnung". It will be interesting to see how that goes. This is day four and I?m hoping to get to leave...one can hope, right? After that it?s time to put together the IKEA bookcase I got....joy and then maybe a trip to TJMaxx.

Favorite Christmas Carol? I like too many, so it?s hard to pick. But Lo How er Rose is one of my favorites.

  • Morning. Avion, I was just watching the news and they were talking about today's crazy weather.

Nothing too out of the ordinary today. After work I hope to finish my thank you cards from my US baby shower. I have a ton planned for the weekend which kind of sucks because I've got a cold and really just want to curl up on the couch. At least everything planned is fun!

QOTD: The traditional song I like is Carol the Bells. I also love Sufjan Steven's version of Come Thou Fount. It's on their Christmas album but it's really more of a hymn.

  • Morning.  I am on day three of my detox and really starting to feel great.  I am working late tonight because we have our Christmas Carol Concert fundraiser.  It is an event I do really enjoy working.

QOTD:  Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night and All I Want For Christmas Is You (I am not sure is that is the title of the song).

  • Good Morning!

Tonight I have dinner with a friend, and tomorrow we have a Christmas event with our Scuba Club. We're headed to NEMO33 in Brussels, which is supposedly one of the deepest pools in the world. You can do a deep dive, then go enjoy thai dinner watching scuba divers through the window. It should be interesting...

Good Luck on your flight with DD. I know you've been anxious about it, but just be sure to bring something to keep her entertained - and maybe take something to clear up that congestion before you go! I'm sending you quick flight vibes ;-)

QOTD: Mine is also "O Holy Night" or "Silent Night" - they are just so pretty.

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

  • I'm finishing up the Babes in Toyland with Drew Barrymore in it from the late 80s. It's expiring in a few hours off Hulu+ I loved this movie when I was little and I was really upset when our VCR player ate the tape. So it's fun to watch it again.

When I get up I'm going to check out a university near us about transferring and seeing if it's a possible candidate. Yesterday I had a really disappointing visit at a different university so I'm not very motivated. I had more positive experiences last week.

  • Morning everyone!  Really tired this morning...the wind was crazy last night and I couldn't sleep because it was so loud!

QOTD:  "The 12 Days of Christmas" sang by Straight No Chaser, and according to iTunes, "Silent Night" sang by Josh Groban.  I also love "Carol of the Bells" sang by Barlow Girls, and "O Holy Night" sang by the Glee Cast.

  • Morning ladies.  Very early morning here (4:30am).  DH so graciously passed along his head cold to me.  Between his fever breaking every couple hours and my incessant coughing and pregnancy insomnia, we are quite the fun pair at night.  The dog is just pissed we are interrupting her beauty sleep.

I have a doc appointment today, then off to Home Depot to fix some minor repairs around the house and I'm making a couple freezer meals to add to the "so husband won't starve after baby comes" stash.  Nothing too exciting.

QOTD: I love O Holy Night and Oh Come All Ye Faithful for Christmas and Sevivon and Ner Li (Hanukkah children's songs).  I love December for the simple fact I get to celebrate 2 great holidays!!

  • Good Morning.

I feel like complete arse today.  W and I both have had bad colds for like the past 2 weeks and I've been up since 3 am coughing my head off.  We're going to the doctor in a little bit.

QOTD:  I love "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night"

  • Good morning! I keep watching the skies today, work just sent out an email that we're closing early so I'm trying to figure out when I can graciously escape without looking a bit too eager to leave... I've been so under motivated lately and having a random early day isn't helping! The weather really does look a bit ridiculous (although so far, not any worse than other days in Scotland!)

QODT: No Christmas carols for me, but there are a few Chanukah songs I love! Ditto Sheks - it's super fun to celebrate both holidays. If I could figure out a reason to celebrate any others I'd be all about it :-)

  • Good morning!

Not much happening here. Taking care of some things on my to do list, and decorating for xmas this weekend. Anxiously waiting for baby to decide she's ready to come.

QOTD: I think I would have to say "Silent Night", but I feel like I'm having trouble thinking of any right now.
