I could probably google this but I am feeling waaaayyyyyy to lazy to do that tonight.  What is it, is it really that good and is it hard to make?

Re: explain peppermint bark.

  • Peppermint bark is basically melted chocolate with chunks of crushed peppermint candy in it. I think it's good, but it's not fantastic. No, it's not hard to make.

ETA: Melt chocolate in a double boiler, pour it on a parchment paper lined pan (greased), throw some crushed candy on top and wait for it to cool. Break into pieces and eat.

This plus I stir in about 1/2 tsp peppermint extract in the chocolate.

I love peppermint/mint and chocolate flavors together.  One of my favorites as you can tell.

  • The fact that I actually found some peppermint bark here was so nice.  I don't absolutely love it, but it is nice to have some pepperment at Christmas.  If I see candy canes here, 8 out of 10 times they are strawberry flavoured.  And melted in hot milk is awesome to get rid of pregnancy heartburn.

  • Thanks, I seem to be getting exposed to a lot more American things living here and people keep talking about it.  I might have to actually stop being so lazy and make some for DH, he loves mint flavoured things, I personally could leave it.
