Transportation help
I'll be visiting NYC in a couple of weeks and wanted to know what the best/cheapest way is to get from the airport (LGA) to our hotel near time square?

Take a cab, but make sure it's a yellow taxi and not a livery cab. Go to the taxi line outside your terminal. The livery guys will approach you and ask "need a ride?" all shady and under their breath. That's because it's not legal for them to get fares that way. And since you are a tourist they will definitely overcharge you. Very few people can get the upper hand on a livery driver, lol.
I don't know that there is any other way to get to the city from LaGuardia - the airtrain is only from JFK. I'm sure there are buses you can take but it will take you forever. Yellow cabs have flat rates from airports to Manhattan, it's the best way.
