Had my first internal today...3cm dialated and 70% effaced.  I know that doesn't mean much in terms of when baby is coming, but it sure does feel like some progress.  At least it is 3 cm less I'll have to labor!

Very exciting! They don't check here so I don't know if I've made any progress, but I think of this the same way you do...less you'll have to labor later. Don't know if it really makes a difference to the time/pain etc., but I like to think it will.

I can't believe you are a week away!  Fingers crossed for a quick and easy labor and delivery!

Good luck, you must be getting very excited!

To be honest, I am jelaous of all pregnant-soon-to-deliver ladies on here. Meeting your baby is such an amazing moment!
