Seriously, TK.  I blame Raynes this time.

Anyone want to play here? I'm bored at work. (I have stuff I need to get done, but it's all waiting on responses from everyone else. bah.)

Re: ok, eff this shiit.

  • I like how anna made your SB post sticky again.
  • H and I went to get a Christmas tree earlier in the week.  And now it's sitting in the living room undecorated.  We're not going to be home at all on the weekends between now and Christmas.  H has final exams for school coming up.  And I hate decorating the tree.

Is it terrible if I just leave it undecorated unless he puts lights on it?  I'm just not feeling it this year.

  • I saw that too. haha

No. I mean, our tree sat without lights or anything for a week anyway. It still looked and smelled good :)

  • It does smell good.  And it looks nice sitting there.  It'd look better with lights.  I just don't want to do it.

We're one of the few houses in the neighborhood that doesn't have Christmas lights up outside too.  I feel like the "bah humbug" of the street.  We bought one of those pre-lit trees in a pot from Lowes to put on the porch, but haven't even gotten it out yet.

  • If your H is the one that really wanted the tree, he can put the lights on it. That's how it worked in our house at least. I really wanted the tree, so I decorated it. :)

I think we're the only ones hanging out here too. ha

  • I'm luirking but I have a lot to do at work. I just don't want to miss anything.

  • I'm probably just doing a little tree to put on the table this year. I don't have a lot of money, or space for a big one. I found tree topper / skirt I like at Walmart last night.. We'll see.
  • I agree.  Last year that was our arrangement and then he put the lights on and it looked like crap so I re-did it.  He just threw them at the tree, I think.  You could see all the wires and they weren't woven through the branches at all.  To put ornaments on the tree branches they would have had to be behind the lights.  It looked stupid.
  • So as of this morning, there are like 6 people on my Bump month board that are pregnant again. We all have 3-4 month olds. Seriously, it makes me scared to have sex at all.

Yikes.  Are they just trying to get the baby stages out of the way all at once?

  • I guess so. Most of them are surprises. Its true that your body is all wonky for a while and it takes a while to get regular again, but that's what protection is for. I guess they weren't being as careful as they thought.

Of course, I haven't started charting again yet, so I may be next. Then I'll have foot in mouth syndrome.

  • ohmygod. Their poor poor bodies.  Growing up, I had a friend whose brother was in our grade too. They were 8 months apart. YUP.

    That's possible?

    I mean, I have friends who are 10 months apart...but 8?

ETA isn't that what they call Irish Twins or something?

  • If the 2nd baby comes early, then yes. I can't imagine having an 8mo and a preemie. Kill me now

  • Ugh Sarah, I couldn't imagine..

Yup.  If I remember right, she didn't even know she was pregnant until like 4-5 months along- she just assumed her body was all out of whack from, you know, giving birth.

I should ask my mom about it. She was better friends with the mom than I was with the daughter.

  • I wish TK would upgrade to the same forum software that TN/TB uses and be done with it.  Fishy might lose some more posts, but sacrifices have to be made.

  • I'm reviewing copy by our new writers. Shoot me now. But, at least I don't have to worry about production times. Today is my Friday so I'm just ready for the day to be over.

Pirate, I'll decorate your tree! I get to do my mom's tonight. I love decorating Christmas trees.

H and his brother are 11 months apart. He's called them Irish twins and something to do with the front porch.

    Come on over!

  • We got a real tree this year, which I love, but it took us 45 minutes to get the damn thing in the base and upright. And even now it's a tad crooked.

Also, nails. I want to see pictures of people with painted nails. And your nail polish recs. I currently use Sally Hansen, OPI, Wet n Wild, China Glaze, Essie and Finger Paints (which is awesome and super cheap, BTW).

DOn't feel bad. Ours is anchored to the wall with a piece of twine and a cuphook, and its still crooked.

  • YAAAAY!

I worked 6:30AM-9:30PM yesterday. Worst day of life. Easily.

We're going to pick up our dining set today:

Hope that works. TN's photo posting is so odd.

  • I love OPI.  I wish I could be their nail polish namer.  I just had my toes painted with sparkly OPI that my mom gave me.

Oy, I can't imagine being pregnant so soon after having one.  Then again, I've never wanted bbs to beging with.

CCF, we're just doing a tabletop tree this year, too.  They had little Frasier Firs at WF.  Haven't decided if we're decorating it yet or not.  Right now it's just sitting on a tree skirt with the xmas cards we've recieived around it.  That's about all the fesitivity I can muster right now.

  • Oh, that's a cute set! I like it.

  • TK sucks.  H and his brother are 18 months apart I think.  Thank god we've decided to just have one.

  • I'll play over here!

We haven't even put our tree up yet, Pirate! We really need to get on it. If it wasn't for the kids, I wouldn't even bother - I am NOT in the Christmas spirit this year at all. Ugh.

You know you're going to end up with triplets now, right? ;)

CM- I like that set! I can't wait until we can buy a new kitchen table. That likely won't be until we buy a new house in the future though... or reno out current kitchen/dining room.

oh, and re: polish.  I like OPI polish, but I love my Essie "good to go" topcoat. It dries super quickly. I quick paint my nails (just the top coat) in the car in about two seconds.  By the time I get to work (15-20 minutes), they're completely dry.

  • Ha I know Steph.  We were talking about twins the other day after we talked about just having one kid.  It would be just our luck if that happened.  At least it would only be one labor though.

Our cats left the tree alone for the first week it was up, but now they're terrorizing it.  I come home to a crooked star every day.  I think they were just using the first week to do recon.

  • My brothers are 16 months apart.  FI and his brother are pretty close together like that too. I can't imagine having an 8mo and a preemie.  That would be so much!

ETA holy crap I don't know how to talk today.  Parents =/= brothers

  • I had a friend who was born in January and her brother was born in November of the same year. I think her brother was premature. They were in the same grade and most people thought they were twins.

FI and I were supposed to get a tree last night but we didn't end up going. Local costco have them for a pretty good deal so we are going to get ours there. I am seriously dragging ass on wrapping too. I also need to have my Christmas cards cut down at work.
