What brand of pants/jeans for woman with big booty and tiny waist
I am spending the day with my Mom tomorrow and she usually hates clothes shopping because of her body type. She asked if we could go shopping for pants for her (I am super hyped that she wants to go with me) and I wanted to get some recommendations for brands/styles that might work for her. She is about 5'5" and probably a size 8 or 10 but I wouldn't call her a pear shape.
She typically shops at mall stores - Macy's, JCP, etc., but doesn't usually go into boutiques or stores like Old Navy, Ann Taylor (Loft) or Banana Republic.
Thanks for any recs!
Re: What brand of pants/jeans for woman with big booty and tiny waist
One option would be for her to buy a pair that fit her butt and have them altered in the waist. I'm also thinking that styles called "curvy" or something similar might be more flattering. And Tim Gunn said that pear shapes should get straight leg jeans, not boot cut or skinny.
have fun shopping with your mama!?
I just got a pair of Levi's Curvy jeans. I always had the baggy gap at the back of my jeans.
They're a slightly lower waist, flare jean in a dark indigo. I got mine at Kohl's.
I have the same problem, and it's hit or miss, even among brands.
After trying on 20 pairs of jeans yesterday I ended up with a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt stretch from Kohls. However, 1 style fit great and another style (same GV stretch 'brand') did not.
I had the same problem shopping for jeans last season. I am a size 4, but have wider hips than most size 4 pants. I went everywhere and finally found some at The Limited. They were they Drew fit, low waist and a flare leg. They fit like a glove.
Of course, I could recommend the Citizens of Humanity and Seven for All Mankind jeans I bought 5 years ago that still fit like they were made for me, but surely your mom isn't willing to shell out $160 for pants.
