  • ah! Best of luck, Lachute! I'll be thinking about you.

  • Ask for the job. Seems silly but if you want it, ask for it. Shows a lot about your character.
  • That's good news,  Good luck!!!
  • - let your resume speak for itself.  when you are doing the q&a i usually try to go off-resume to let them get to know me better.  they already picked you based on that piece of paper, now its time to go beyond that.

    - have a list of questions ready.  i am so bad at remembering what questions i have for future employers on interviews, i feel like this is definitely a confidence booster for me.

    - wear an outfit you feel great in (this is huge for me too).  if i feel like i look good i am so much more confident.  i usually keep it plain overall with a statement necklace or patterned shirt.

    GOOD LUCK!

  • be prepared with examples that demonstrate "soft" skills or things that aren't specifically called out on your resume.

Our interview process is based on behavioral questions and trying to get at things like, attitude, organization/planning, customer satisfaction, etc. So we ask questions like, "can you tell me about a time that you had to tell a customer 'no'", "how would you handle a situation where deadlines and priorities change quickly" etc etc

    good luck!

On the lines of what MelDot said, we do "STAR" approach interviewing here at my company. The idea is that for every question you are asked by the interviewer, you have to answer using "STAR".

Your answer should first state the Situation/Task that pertains to the question you are being asked, your Action, and then the end Result. I feel like this is a great method to use for any interview and it has always helped me keep on track and be straight to the point. It's easy to steer off track especially when nervous so I think this method is helpful for that.

  • thanks guys. i like the STAR tip. I'm pretty good at handling good interview questions its the crappy ones i am like WTF? did you google questions.

i have a feeling i know someone on this board but i can't find a damn board list.

  • Don't refer to yourself as a people person. You'd be amazed at how many of our job candidates do that. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh, and I always make sure I'm prepared to answer the dreaded "what is your biggest weakness" question, because I get stuck otherwise.

    Good luck!
