So I posted a few weeks ago about my slightly odd interview at a law firm and was just asking for general feedback. With the benefits, hours, commute and pay it'd be an amazing opportunity for me.
I wasn't too confident with the odds despite how well the interview seemed to go, as I was one of 5 people interviewed and what are the chances?
Well, they called me yesterday, apparently there had been a hold-up in HR that severely delayed them by 3 weeks. They announced that they wanted to move forward with me and requested my references and had me submit a detailed background check online.
They can go forward with an official offer as soon as they check my references and get that background check. I'm so happy and excited! I drive 450 miles a week for my current job on 3rd shift, and with this job I can take the train downtown instead (only 30 minutes)--and oh the benefits, they are just wonderful.
I know its not completely official yet, but I wanted to share my update with you all anyway. Thanks to everyone that originally helped speculate with me, it helped me be patient through the process of waiting for them to get the process through HR.
