Re: traditions?

  • it ain't Christmas at Sassafrass unless the following cds are played:

Cameo's Greatest Hits (especially candy and shake your pants) and Jackson 5 Christmas.

  • At my house as kids we always got a gift on Christmas eve and it was pajamas that we wore to bed.  I have since carried that over to my house, we all get new pjs and wear them to bed.  We also have a special ornament that is for our son, it's always the first ornament on the tree and the last one to come off the tree, we also make it the highest ornament on the tree-just a little way to remember our little guy!

I always find this extremely touching, and such a special tradition you have started to remember him.

  • since having children DH and I started our own tradition of reading "the night before Christmas" on Christmas Eve to the kids. We started it when Connor was only 2 mos old, just to start tradition.

Really, thats the only true one we have formed as our family...

  • We do the gift on Christmas eve - pajamas- as well.

We also do a chocolate advent calendar and a playmobile advent calendar.

We put up all previous years pics with Santa.

  • Since this is our first year in our new home. We will be making new traditions:

Stocking stuffing and opening our gifts Christmas morning before DH goes to work. Also getting a real tree and decorating it together

Also watching the Christmas cartoons together! =-)

  • We wanted to start going to dinner as a family on xmas eve. We never made it there last year. And this year DH will be at the Giants/Jets game. Oh well. Lol
