oh MIL - funny
I put this over on my baby board but thought some of you would get a kick out of it - and some might be a little grossed out.
I took D to my MILs for the day. When I stopped by on my break she was feeding him squash. He was wearing more than he was eating so I tried for a few. This is the conversation that followed:
MIL - I don't think he likes squash very much
Me - eh, he only eats about 1/3 of the food we give him and wears the rest
MIL - oh, ok
Me - and this squash is pretty good, I tried it (I don't like squash)
MIL - Me too, I got a little on my finger so tasted it
Me to the baby - Guess we shouldn't tell Grandma what we watered the squash down with (breast milk)
Much laughter later
MIL - Well, I guess I got a little extra nutrition today
I am so glad my MIL loves me and has a great sense of humor. Bet she won't be trying any more of my son's food.
