I just got home and got all my groceries logged into my Nielsen diary, am watching amazing car accident videos on TruTv, and realizing that i only have one more weekend to prep for Christmas and have SO much left to do.
I also want to kick my heathen husband. I asked if he had any requests for Christmas food and he said "nothing". Like there isn't a single cookie, pie, or dish he'd like.

Howdy. I'm just waiting for H to be done working so we can hang out. I haven't seen him in 2 days. Well, I saw him earlier when I got home but then he left for work so now I'm hanging out with Sir Whisky.

DH does this all the time about food and meals in general. Then when I make something special/good/new especially a dessert he gets all excited and happy. Dingus. I could make you a chocolate cake or lasagna more often if you asked... but I'm not a mind reader yet.
I just wrapped all of the presents and now I have to head off to work.
Hi! DH is putting chicken on the smoker, and I'm prepping oven roasted potatoes and a butternut squash. I just saw a recipe for butternut squash bread - I might make that with some of what I'm cooking now. Sounds delightful.
Are they these ones Edie? Because They're on my list of possible items to make.

It's easy - take a pie crust (It can be homemade or the Pillsbury ready-made) and brush with melted butter, dust w/ cinnamon & sugar. Roll tightly and cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Press the rounds into the pie pan, fill & bake. They also recommended making sweet potato pie with this crust.
I'm curious what these 7 layer cookies look like.

Just relaxing at home, I have to make up my mock draft for my fantasy bball league tomorrow. I always do H's too because he doesn't have time, it's pretty much like having two fantasy teams. The food, fierce competition, and hilarious company are totally worth the work though. And this year there is another girl!

I just got home from my attempt at christmas shopping. I only had 80$ to spend - I was going to get a gift card for my inlaws and a curling iron for my aunt. Somehow I ended up spending nearly 60$ on the curling iron so I just came home. Then on my way home I got to thinking that with the money left over that I couldnt spend on the gift card I might as well put it to good use and buy some beer, so beer it was. Then I went to the drug store in hopes that their gift card corals had some of the stores I needed gift cards for, but I want to get either 10$ at one place and 40$ at another and all that was available were 20 or 50 amounts. So I bought ritz crackers instead, why you ask? For the crab dip I decided to make when I couldnt get gift cards there.

Guys, I am having a DAY. I've had to use my inhaler 3 times, I have enough contraband (I'm at work) in my office to throw a freakin' NYE party, and I slept for about 4 hours last night. AND my ear hurts. And I'm having the weirdest tinnitus for the past month off and on that sounds like someone is bending something back and forth in my ear, and it's nonstop today.
HMPH.

No, I don't take aspirin. It makes me itchy. I take naproxen sodium about once a week or so, that's it.

Yeah, I have an appointment for January. I've got all sorts of things to get checked out. My poor doctor is going to hate me. I've got a list going. My husband thinks I'm a hypochrondriac, but I'll show him when I come home with 17 diagnoses

Shoot for a diagnosis that'll get you a handicap tag for your car. Those things are handy.
