My favorite quote is
Let the record know that the counselor is holding up 2 fingers.
Hey, your honor please, huh?
Oh, sorry.
Now. Mrs. Riley, and only Mrs. Riley.
Anchorman
Billy Madisen
The Hangover
Raising Arizona
Home Alone
"Don't marry a man unless you would be PROUD to have a son exactly like him." ~ Unknown
It's tough to just pick three, but here goes:
A Dat At the Races (Marx Brothers)
Austin Powers (the 1st one)
The Hangover (only the 1st one!)
Honorable mentions:
Monty Python's Holy Grail, Elf, and Young Frankenstein
i like seeing people say The Sweetest Thing...I love that movie!!
but my list would have to be:
hangover
joe dirt (its my dirty pleasure)
pineapple express (when james franko kicked his foot through the windshield during the car chase scene, i think i laughed for 10 minutes. i love him so much)
i also like animal house and plane, trains and automobiles for older classics.
and the first american pie movie, and dogma. and dumb and dumber (i know, its so dumb but i like it anyways)
I'm sure this will change the more I think about it, but off the top of my head:
Little Miss Sunshine
The Royal Tenenbaums
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Honorable mentions: Wedding Crashers, Snatch, Shaun of the Dead
Clerks, Tommy Boy, and American Pie
Runners up- Office Space, Mallrats, The Wedding Singer, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Dogma, The Jerk, Austin Powers, Shrek
OMG Wayne's World! Billy Madison! Anchorman! How could I have neglected those!
I would have said The Hangover (the first, NOT the second) and Step Brothers, but those are obvious choices.
Here's an obscure one: McLintock. Anyone? So funny.
Hangover, Wedding Crashers, and Friends with Benefits
Though...I can't particularly remember movies from the past. I have the worst memory.
Oh!
Honourable mentions: She's the man. Home Alone.
*Live, Love, Laugh, Learn*
Travel Adventures.

ETA: If Mean Girls is considered a comedy, that moves to the top of the list.
She's the Man is hilarious. Love.
are you thinking about role models? cause this is one of the reasons why i didn't like that movie...the other reason is that i thought it was dumb.
*a curse word or two, especially if it's appropriate given the context (for comedic sake or otherwise), doesn't make me clutch my pearls, but multiple bad words just b/c...dislike.

i guess there wasn't enough underage cussing for me to notice. or, the movie was so good that i didn't notice

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."
