Chewable Pre-natal Vitamins

Get and big fat F from me!  I don't know why someone thought pregnant women chewing the taste of cat food would be a good idea.  Today was the first time I truly gagged so far.

Re: Chewable Pre-natal Vitamins

  • yuck! I like the nature's bounty prenatals. they have a bit of a flowery smell, which is kind of weird, but they don't smell/taste like vitamins etc. I also like them because I can find them in the store and they aren't too expensive (about $9 for 60 pills and they are a 1x/day dose). Good luck!!

  • I had to take the gummies.  I couldn't stand any of the swallow or chew kind when I was so sick-just the smell sent me running.  But the gummies taste like sunkist fruit chews-my ob recommended the brand at Target.

I took two bottles worth of those and then I finally had to switch because I couldn't stand the taste anymore. They aren't bad, IMO, at first but then it gets to be a bit gross. Word to the wise, they contain zero iron so make sure to pick up a supplement if you use them!

  • I know! I don't get it. I ate one of Neena's chewables last week because I was out of Rainbow Lights and I about barfed.

  • I'm still taking the VitaFusion gummies.  I think they're pretty yummy.  The calcium chews, not so much.

Avoid the Bronson chewable prenatals.  Or maybe that's what you tried because cat food was a pretty accurate description.

  • Yuck! I take the Flinstones chewables b/c I couldn't even look at a swallowable Prenatal without gagging. The Flinstones have a yucky after taste that make me want to go running for the bathroom every single day!
